this...... could anyone post an actual image of the thing though instead of the schematic for it? it sounds alot like those child-proofing plastic covers parents put over outlets to keep their kids from trying to insert quarters or pennies into them

I actually do have a few USB cables lying around where the manufacturer specifically cheaped out and didn't wire up the data terminals at all. I usually just hook them up to chargers (one is on my wall charger, one is probably still in the car).

Just sell USB cables with the data pins not connected for fucks sake[/QUOTE] The dongle can be reduced in size and the PCB can be completely eliminated by taking the male and female connectors for A-style USB, snipping the D+ and D- off and soldering the VCC and GND pins. The whole thing would be about an inch long only because the connectors are large. Also as mentioned it's such a transparent hardware hack that any device plugged into it will not notice. It will just assume it's plugged into a regular charger.
