The title is misleading me.
They don't seem very sunk. Their site is still up and their twitter is too and I haven't seem any personal information and funny pictures of lanky nerds yet.
our nation cyber-security could be so much better if the government hired these underground hackers, cause they seem to be more efficient and know what they're doing more than the guys in the government lol.
It isn't over until they're all behind bars.
They ain't sunk, yet. . .

I guess actual hacking takes actual coding, which takes actual time. I hope for the best.

The best of the best work for the government. These kids don't even compare.
Of course they work in secret. Do you think they are paraded around like heroes?
Could someone explain this to me? What exactly has changed?
Lulzsunk
this is epic hacking win for TP, but because I'm dumber than a script kiddie, what's the difference between white hats and black hats?
White hats hack to test or improve security, blackhats hack to be malicious

i know the government hackers are scary as shit, but it took an underground group called teampoison or whatever to actually catch them, you'd think the government would respond and assrape them after seeing their CIA.gov being taken down
It's like Return of the Jedi, but on the internet.
Could someone explain this to me? What exactly has changed?
Absolutely nothing.
This isn't over.

As Top said in the second one it's a facade pretty much. Real underground hackers don't shove things out right away, just because no pictures are out from poison yet doesn't mean they failed. It also goes to show you don't know who they are.

Now the lulzsec Twitter is bragging about adding new IRC servers
Maybe they'll meet that guy who got himself arrested so he could get free health care.
I hope this is over, holy shit.
I might actually feel safe to go on Xbox Live and buy shit.
what makes you think buying shit off of Xbox Live would be any safer after lulzsec is done?

Taking down a government website looks bad and the stuff they planned to do like massive extortion and the like, maybe that would have attracted their attention. They're probably more interested in other, more important things than a few hacker kiddies.
Another independent hacker group though, they have the reputation of hackers in general to worry about. They don't particularly care about the criminal activities, but being so public, so careless, so ruinous would certainly get their attention. In the end, they had to stand up to this faction and put them in their place, for their own reputation and the prevention of escalation of the government-independent conflict.

Yeah, one guy is arrested but the group is still going strong.
Yeah, one guy is arrested but the group is still going strong.
A conflict has been started, they no longer operate freely. That itself is enough to expect them to decline significantly.
Even if this won't end it they're eventually just going to end up pissing off more threats than they can keep track of, and that's when they'll make one tiny mistake, and will sink because of it.
I came to the page for hacker related news.
I stayed for The Titanic Theme Song.

Well look at this way, most of the people that work as government hackers are probably in their 30's or 40's meaning that they were born in a generation where computers weren't mainstream. This teampoison group are probably in their 20's meaning that they were born in a generation where computers have always been around them, so they have progressed through them at a early age. Look at this way, learning a foreign language as a kid is far easier then learning it as a adult, same thing with computers. Learning how to harness them as a kid makes them far superior at it then someone who had to study in college or figure them out as a adult.
Oh man this is getting really interesting :munch:
finally
Wellll.
That was fast, anonymous has been around and more known for much longer.
Then again, lulzsec did more than them in a few months.
