This post is going to have me saying quite a few things I'll hate to say. I'll note them with an asterisk. True enough. When I said "truly charitable," I did mean being charitable in the sense that you do it to make you happy, but when you're doing it for physical or real world gain, it just feels like it dirties the intention behind it. It'd feel like finding out Santa is just doing it for a paycheck on January 1st.* Maybe I'm coming across badly. I'm not saying that people who use marijuana are just plain bad, and rotten to the core. After all, both of my best (and I'm not using that word lightly) friends do drugs*. I'm just saying that I think that doing pot (or rather, drugs in general) is a negative aspect. It might affect what I think of the person to some degree, but it doesn't outright decide what I think of them. *I'll disagree with whatever I want.* I can not emphasize these asterisks enough.
I don't think weed should be looked at as a drug. I mean, yes, it's technically a drug, we need to remember that, but seeing as it's healthier than both alcohol and smoking(tobacco)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_cannabis (Unfortunately this is widely disputed, but you get the point)) it should not be looked upon so negatively. I don't smoke weed, but hey, look at me, I can get my facts straight! I'm not saying you've said weed is unhealthy, but you did kind of classify it with all the rest of the drugs, which are mostly bad for you, and which you can, for example, overdose on(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocaine#Effects_and_health_problems). You can't really use Santa as an analogy, since he doesn't exist, but you do have a point. But the truth is, no matter what way you look at it every act is infact selfish. As to the point of drugs in a negative aspect, did you know that caffeine is actually a drug, and drinking it on a daily basis actually makes you MORE tired in the long run. It's hard to explain, read about it here(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine#Tolerance_and_withdrawal). I'm saying this just in the case that you drink coffee, just so you might realise that you possibly consume a "worse" drug than cannabis on a daily basis. Also, of course, you can disagree, but even you will probably have to face the facts.
There's only one thing wrong with this food drive. They give their cans of food, go home, smoke some doobies, then realize that they gave away whatever food they are now craving to get the weed in the first place.
The "weed subculture" thanks you so much for your far more advanced intellect and knowledge on the subject. Fuck you
You're welcome.
but seeing as it's healthier than both alcohol and smoking(tobacco)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_cannabis (Unfortunately this is widely disputed, but you get the point)) it should not be looked upon so negatively.
The reason why I look at weed negatively is because I think it's harmful to the person in a psychological way. All of my friends who do weed (my father included) changed drastically after starting, and the way they act when they do it is very stereotypical. I know this is just anecdotal, which is why I'm not telling you this to try and convince you that I'm right, but look at it from my perspective. From where I'm standing, the case for weed looks very bad.
Also, of course, you can disagree, but even you will probably have to face the facts.
This wasn't about facts, but my opinion.
Nothing wrong with weed as long as you moderate it, at least enough to keep up a normal life. Heavy dosage of any drug is bound to have some effect on people, look at alcoholics n stuff. I'm not saying that weed is dangerous, just that too much of anything can be bad for you.

It all really depends on the individual's reaction towards the effects. Some continue to use the drug and become a burn-out, some continue and don't. Simple as that. Same thing applies to anything really. Some continue to drink alcohol and become an alcoholic. Some don't. Some continue to use sugar and don't limit their intakes, so they become fat. Some don't. [editline]6th January 2011[/editline] I don't get why everyone is dissing Paramud's statement towards weed. He's not pulling any bullshit really, he is just stating facts (the fact that weed does affect you psychologically) and his experience with it. His experience with it WAS BAD, so he doesn't like the idea of using weed. It's simple as that. If he was dissing the idea with smoking weed altogether and won't accept the facts that some people are actually really finding weed helping their life, then I wouldn't respect his opinion at all, no.
How much does it cost to fly to Cali?
I wasn't quite dissing, I was just stating some facts. Nothing more nothing less. He is allowed to have his opinion. Also, this is the first post I've seen from mooe in a year holy shit.
How much does it cost to fly to Cali?
Definitely more than three joints (minus some kind of food)
