Imagine it hits a wall and bounces back :v:
You know, I always wonder, IF aliens ever find the Voyager Golden Record, how and what will they interpret from it? I'm human myself and I don't understand some of the symbols :saddowns:

SCIENTISTS DISCOVER COSMIC WALL
"I guess who should have given our telescopes depth vision", say top scientists.

We just send cameras at it and there's loads of alien probes just stuck there.
Wait we need it to come back, the information on the plaque is outdated now we have to alter Pluto to dwarf planet status someone fire a probe with a laser on to scratch that bit out.
Robots take their space explorations pretty damn seriously: Voyager 1 was launched in 1977, yet it's still doing its job without breaking a sweat. The Mars rovers were supposed to last only a month or two, yet they kept working for years.
"I'm sorry, can't stop now. Too busy being a mechanical badass. IN SPACE."

It thought the white things around 1:30 were snowflakes :v:
Hope it doesn't get eaten by some Eldritch Abomination...
One can only wish that it wont go to waste by crashing into anything. The chances of a "someone" or "something" finding it eventually are astronomically small, but it would be incredible if it did happen. For now we'll have to be happy that we can still track it. Such an old machine, I hope it'll last a long time.
It's amazing to think that these machines have lasted so long because they use thru-hole chips and components and not surface-mount devices. Thru-hole components can handle the thermal stresses a lot better than SMDs can.
How in the name of god is it still going?
I know it's durable, but holy shit that's crazy.

You take a bottle of science and pour it in a glass made of superb engineering.
Bamm, the thing will last forever.
I was expecting it to say "NASA Probe Enters Uranus"
