By 2200 I believe that you won't need to even write via computer. We will probably have a system that interfaces directly with the human brain. We can already control a cursor with our mind with brain chips. It's not far off until we can fully interface.
I'll fully inter your face.
But I can't imagine books being completely replaced with e-book readers. I mean, staring at a bright screen isn't exactly relaxing; one whiff of fresh ink on a new book, however, and I'm ready to cuddle up with my book and a blanket.

why is it that opponents of e-book readers don't know what an e-ink screen is?
why is it that opponents of e-book readers don't know what an e-ink screen is?
Probably because people not interested in purchasing an e-book reader don't research types of e-book readers; this is due to a feeling of complete contentment with normal books.
Though saying I'm an opponent is a little harsh, I'm not sure why you feel it necessary to antagonize me.
EDIT: Unless you're referring to the e-ink's that had a post on here a few days ago, in which case, still not interested.
e-ink readers are great. Can't wait when colored e-ink becomes cheaper.
Watches will never die.
Watches will never die.
Watches might not, wristwatches might
Wristwatches will never die
They will die when they make HUD displays.
They will die when they make HUD displays.
A life long dream.
They will die when they make HUD displays.
Ill still wear one.
Well, I got some stuff to tell my kids when I grow older.
Maybe we will have lasers on our eyes too!
I kinda hope some of this stuff sticks really. Wires are something that we'll have for quite a long time. Even if not internet. DVD rental stores are going to die out eventually but they still have another good 10 years more/less.
Books won't ever die. Books are part of humanity. Before we had Kindles and shit we were writing books. Removing books from humanity is like removing the pen and pencil. It won't happen. We have books dating back centuries.
The evening news won't die either. I'm not bothered to go and look up local news but if I catch it on the TV then I'm educated. Same goes with commercials. It'd be cool for them to go away but they won't. If commercials were gone then TV has lost funding.
Watches and Film Cameras? Are you fucking kidding me? Watches are fashionable if anything. Sunglasses are as well. Sure they have an intended purpose and can serve them, they also look damn sexy at the time. Film Cameras will be used to film stuff on TV and pointless Youtube videos for quite a while.
Some things are dying. For example, Encyclopedias are pretty much dead. And the fact is that children of our generation are assholes with other people as far as the phone goes, it'll only get worse. Hand-written letters as well. It's pretty hard to say exactly but technology will keep on advancing. Most of those items will just advance with it. I just hope I can keep my book and DVD stores. I cannot read a goddamn book on my phone.
I just bought a new watch a week ago, a lot more convenient then a phone.

"wtf grandpa, u didnt hav teleports?"
"only in tf2"
"wtf is a tf2?"
"...I need a smoke"
"wtf is a smoke?"

A smoke is produced when something is burning, I don't think they will get rid of that in the future

I've done the eBook thing. It's just not natural.

how is saying you're an opponent harsh? you're clearly opposed to e-book readers.
i'm ok with you being content with books, but don't expect people to not correct you when you're just plain wrong about something.
A smoke is produced when something is burning, I don't think they will get rid of that in the future
it might be in the same sense that i'm feeling very fire right now.
The kids don't get what you're talking about when you say "a smoke" but know what smoke is. The same is with me being fire, because you obviously don't know what fire is.
They won't know that their mother or father could of drowned and died in the queensland floods.
People who describe watches as classy. Oh, the irony.
pretty true but watches are NOT out
i still rock watches yo
I think we worry too much about what we could/will lose over time, and not what we will gain. :(

Why are you rocking watches? I am quite sure they work better undamaged.
Retirement Plans makes me sad, I don't want to work till i'm 70.
Retirement Plans makes me sad, I don't want to work till i'm 70.
I want to live atleast till 70 :(
hey ive got a wired phone in my room
Some of the list is a little unrealistic, like keeping in touch with everyone you ever knew via a social networking site.
Yeah, right.
Feature phones. By the time these babies are old enough to have a cell phone I can see the mobile market only containing "smart" phones. Basically today's lower end smartphones would become tomorrow's feature phones.
Its like 4-5 years until these kids know what things are, we will still have all of those things.
