Life isn't fair. You can still work hard to go from rags to riches. You have to be smart and determined.
yea if your very lucky [editline]7th December 2010[/editline]
You do realize that a lot of these 'ultrarich' people worked their fucking asses off to get the money they have. Bill Gates is a perfect example. It's a bit harder heading (or formerly heading, but that's not the point) a worldwide software corporation than flipping burgers. [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] Now, I'm not saying that the poor should be taxed like hell, but super-taxation of the rich won't help anything.
most rich people were born rich and because of that they went to a better college, didnt have to work so much during childhood and can take there dads job. if your working harder thing was right then farmers, nurses and people who do other crappy jobs would be rich right now [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] If they really wanted to start jobs instead of taking some taxes off of a lot of rich guys take takes off of business owners. this will help much better and want them to grow there business.
The main purpose of it is to increase jobs and decrease unemployment, but how effective it is has been debated. Contrary to what everyone has been saying, they don't do it just because the government loves rich people.
They do it because REPUBLICANS love rich people.
the rich get less taxes to help give the incentive to pay them and buy more- thus increasing tax revenue.
Yeah, how'd that work out with Reagan?
Why don't you ask the House Democrats, from during Regan's term, that spent about $1.78 for every $1.00 Regan's economic policies brought in? (Source for number: Shawn Hannity)
"new york city never had equality, In reality, economic duality" I love cibo matto also
With all these cuts, the rich are doing a piss poor job of creating jobs.
Well what do you expect? The government is giving them tax credits for hiring unemployed people and Continue to extend unemployment. When you have nearly 2 to 3 years of unemployment and it pays more than minimum wage, would you take a job that payed less?
Well what do you expect? The government is giving them tax credits for hiring unemployed people and Continue to extend unemployment. When you have nearly 2 to 3 years of unemployment and it pays more than minimum wage, would you take a job that payed less?
The idea of cutting taxes to create jobs and ensure equality is completely nonsensical. Compare the gini index of the USA and any european country - their is much greater inequality in the distribution of wealth in the states. If you consider the fact that employment is about the same between europe and the states, it's easy to conclude there's no evidence that tax cuts for the rich help anyone besides the rich.
Maybe they would if they wouldn't just seek those that are on unemployment. I say take away any tax incentives for hiring the unemployed. That should get them off their buts for hiring those not considered unemployed.
So you're for lower income taxes for the upper brackets (that is, extending them in their current state), but against tax incentives that make employers want to hire people? That seems backwards. It might be worth mentioning that the USA is in debt and income tax for the higest bracket used to be almost 3x higher percentage wise (35% now to 91% in the early sixties). Other than now, income tax has only been this low once before since the great depression.
You all do realize that they still get taxed a buttload more than everyone else right?
the rich get less taxes to help give the incentive to pay them and buy more- thus increasing tax revenue.
like i said before. not ever rich person is a business owner and not ever rich person will use there money to open up more jobs. it would be funny if they used that money to by machines to replace the workers
You all do realize that they still get taxed a buttload more than everyone else right?
Yes, but they're evil. Oh, and to make it sound worse, we're going to call $250,000 ultra rich.
Yes, but they're evil. Oh, and to make it sound worse, we're going to call $250,000 ultra rich.
oh and all poor people are lazy and dont deserve to eat. see I can act like that too
oh and all poor people are lazy and dont deserve to eat. see I can act like that too
Horrible troll is horrible. You think that if the tax cuts are extended for the rich, you wont eat?
Rich people dont spend money, otherwise they wouldnt be rich people. they shove it in the bank, otherwise we wouldnt be in this mess anymore. everybody deserves an equal tax rate.
pigs
Rich people dont spend money, otherwise they wouldnt be rich people. they shove it in the bank, otherwise we wouldnt be in this mess anymore. everybody deserves an equal tax rate.
The only thing that is even close to being correct is the last part. Most rich people invest in stocks or a business or some other revenue generating thing. It takes money to make money is no joke.
ITT: Jealous middle class
ITT: Jealous middle class
I'm lower class, but seriously, the bitching is ridiculous. I love how everyone thinks the small percentage difference is going to effect everyone else, besides the rich. How bout we should angry at the fact that republicans don't wanna pass the tax cuts at all unless if the rich people get them too? That's holding the middle class hostage. Everyone deserves them, but the republicans are being fucked up right now. Yes, the republicans had a right to wanna fight for the upperclass too, but they way they were doing it was absurd.
Yes, but they're evil. Oh, and to make it sound worse, we're going to call $250,000 ultra rich.
Um, no one said the rich were evil. [editline]7th December 2010[/editline]
The only thing that is even close to being correct is the last part. We sure didn't hire anybody; we bought a nicer car than we would have otherwise.

Your family is the only rich family in Ameirca huh? Speak for yourselves, not everyone else.

the rich get "wealth"fare, in which they buy awesome shit like jets and write it as a business expense and it comes out of taxes
the rich get "wealth"fare, in which they buy awesome shit like jets and write it as a business expense and it comes out of taxes
As I said before, butthurt middle class.
Horrible troll is horrible. You think that if the tax cuts are extended for the rich, you wont eat?
im not trolling im just saying what your saying. that dumb we hate blank thing
The only thing that is even close to being correct is the last part. Most rich people invest in stocks or a business or some other revenue generating thing. It takes money to make money is no joke.
the highest 2% control 40% of the wealth. they have to keep SOME sort of treasury for themselves
so how about my plan to give the tax breaks to business owners instead of just rich guys. so that way the business owner could get more of a tax and the government can still use tax money to run the country
Other people in this thread were insinuating it. Your family is the only rich family in Ameirca huh? Speak for yourselves, not everyone else.
I'm just saying that a lot of rich/upper-middle-class people aren't "job creators".
As I said before, butthurt middle class.
Of course you're going to be butthurt if you have been getting fucked there for your entire life
