It's pretty much people realizing what's actually healthy, rather then what fitness mags have lead them to believe for so long.

wrong
What in the hell?
Butter is almost all saturated fat, you should be cutting it out of your diet, not increasing your intake of it.
You don't get fat by eating fat, you get fat by storing fat.
When you have low carbs coming in, your body will burn fat for energy instead of storing it. And because our bodies burn 1500+ calories a day idle, eating your calories from fat instead of sugars and starches will make you lose weight with very little exercise. The one fat you SHOULD be avoiding though is trans fats.
Margarine is healthier than butter because margarine barely has any unsaturated fats as margarine comes from vegetables and plants, while butter is filled with unsaturated fats as it comes from animals, and your body has much more trouble breaking unsaturated fats as those have double or triple bonds between carbons.
What are you talking about? Unsaturated fats are much better for you than saturated fats. Saturated fats are used in food preservation.
The more hydrogen there is in the fat, the more saturated a fat becomes, and the harder it is for your body to break down the fat. Butter is full of saturated fat. That doesn't mean people should avoid saturated fats completely, but you definitely don't form an entire fad diet around them either.

Starches and fibers are "better for you" than fats because they give you much more sustained energy for the equivalent Calorie count. 4g/Calorie for Carbohydrates and 9g/Calorie for Fats.
Pro-diet for every human on the planet: Avoid saturated fats and simple carbohydrates, eat complex carbs and lots of protein, with some unsaturated/lightly saturated fat on the side.
Welp, seems like that diet spread out of control.
I butter butter up.
Black Friday except everyone is getting the same thing.
Looks like Norway is going to have to get butter the old fashion way... raid a coastline city in Northwest Europe and steal their cattle!
My mom went on a business trip to Norway, and was asked to bring 16 packs of butter for her colleagues.

God damnit I can't believe I mixed that up.
Paula Dean weeps for you Norway, she weeps.
This is undoubtably the worst famine hunger crisis Norway has ever experienced.

Lol I never eat butter, Dont even use it for cooking, margarine for life :v:
Too bad i didn't live near the Norway border, otherwise i would be rich now!
I read norwegians buy butter from the black market now
Indeed, the Low Carb High Fat diet is extremely effective for losing weight, and it's a lifestyle you can easily live with, unlike many other low-fat diets where you often tend to gain weight after you've lost it.
The diet seems to be very popular in scandinavian countries. Me and a lot of people I know have lost weight by eating food high in fat and low in carbs. So before you facepunchers start criticizing it by reasoning with "durr you can't eat fat to lose fat", maybe you should do some research on LCHF.
This is basically my student diet. But; I do throw in some obligatory pasta.
My mom made some butter on her own.
So our christmas snacks are saved. :v:
So.... Sweeden and Norway. We got whatcha need... For the right price!
Bitch, I'm tripping butter over here. Go to Norway instead. In fact I'ma join the fad and put up some real swedish butter for just $30 á 200 gr!
I live in Norway, and I feel stupid - people eat MORE butter to become THINNER. What the hell?

Seems weird you haven't heard about it before. Apart from Sweden, LCHF is biggest where you live.
I feel obliged to also announce that I eat by LCHF. Been eating for more than six months now and I have only gotten thinner; not fatter. Same goes for my mother, and my five siblings.
My stomach feels a lot better too, mainly because I don't have to digest so many diverse ingredients you might usually find in typical foods such as processed pasta (lots of starch) or some breads.

If you want studies, they are there, but I'm not going to cite anything until anyone is open for it; otherwise it's just meaningless to convince anyone
Seems weird you haven't heard about it before. Apart from Sweden, LCHF is biggest where you live.
Ive heard about it, but I dont think it is a good idea.

How so? If you have heard about it you must also have heard about the studies and individuals supporting it

You must have quite a bit of bile in you
You must have quite a bit of bile in you
Or it's the food. I haven't had diarrhea since I started eating this way, and when I do eat foods with lots of carbs I get so loose in the stomach it hurts.
This is so fucking pathetic ...
One of the minorities in North Eastern China lives almost exclusively on eating lamb meat, which is very high in fats. They're very healthy as long as they keep on their regular diet from what I know.
opposite of America, the unhealthy people in china are usually those of the middle and high classes with access to more "unhealthy" food they can afford with their wealth.
