Beastiality, eh? :q:
Beast? i wouldnt think Facepunch would get it. no not furry shit
And I thought I was tired. 'Twas a joke.
no one is going to use mininova anymore
Pretty much. They're going to find that they'll quickly fade into obscurity due to this. Pity though, they had some good anime.
I'm running out of torrent sites. Shit. To download my legal torrents that don't happen to be on these ones. :tinfoil:
When I read the title of the thread, I expected to read about how some drug was legalized :v: i r dum
NO FUCKING FINAL GEAR HAD ALL THEIR TORRENTS TAKEN DOWN. THEY HAD EVERY EPISODE OF TOP GEAR. FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKkKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!
Your taking a strictly legal standpoint, and claim that, because you are not physically removing anything from it's owner, it's not stealing. However, from a moral standpoint, piracy is stealing. You are acquiring something that you know has a value attached to it without reimbursing said value; devaluing the item in question and depriving the owner of financial gain. You are acquiring something without paying for it. That is stealing. If you disagree, then I want to know where your morality lies.
Of course I feel guilt for torrenting, I almost always buy the games I torrent, I torrent to trial games and to see if they even run my system, more and more games like GTA4 and Stalker have no demos. I'm poor, I can afford maybe 5 games a year, why should I just blow off 50$ on a game that doesn't even run on my piece of shit PC? How is that fair to me? I torrented Stalker, I bought it, wanted to test it Here's a picture I torrented ARMA and bought it I torrented Dark Messiah and bought it That's like, 3 games from 2-3 years I bought if I had no way to trial them, I wouldn't have bought them. Yeah sure ARMA and DM had demos but the ARMA one was buggy as tits and I wanted to make sure DM ran on my new computer. (couldn't be bothered to find demo) Stalker has no trial or demo so in reality, Pirating gained these companies my money.
Put this "In The News" next time?
Don't listen to above user. He's speaking in vernacular.
That's Mininova off my favourites list.
Ok lets put it this way. You are a highschool student and you need some really expensive software suite because u want an advantage when you get into college. You cant afford the $3000 suite so you download it. You are not gaining profit from it, just using it to learn. Would you consider this ^ stealing? The person has a higher chance of buying it later when they are in the industry, they already know it and used it in their younger years.

Shit like this makes me want to make my own country so I can share warez legally in my country. Yeah its stupid but you know you want it.
The real pirates have moved on to usenet anyway.
I get terrible speeds with usenet compared to torrents, so no.

I know in Canada you can if its for educational uses but then again are laws say we can download legally just not upload. I hate backwards laws.

Regardless of whether it's legal in your country, it violates forum rules. Goatse is legal, but that'll get you banned if you post it.
Fuck.
Oh jesusshitdamnit...not minnova too!! T_T This is truly the end of an era...the dream is over. So, now what? We all go to Usenet?
Goatse is legal, but that'll get you banned if you post it.
Goatse should be illegal
We all go to Usenet?
I know of a certain Bay.
I know of a certain Bay.
TPB has sucked for a while.
I can't be the only person who hates Facepunch's nazi-like attitude against piracy. "Hey guy's steam won't work" "GET OUT U PIRATE WE DONT HELP PIRATES HERE" "Hey guy's mininova got shut down" "GET OUT YOU PIRATE WE DONT LIKE YOU" Your not 8000% superior to someone just because you've never touched it. And here comes the person who uses the dumb rating without posting any evidence or reasoning what so ever.
God dammit now where will I get my ROMs that were released for free, legally. You still can find your distros on http://btjunkie.org/ http://btjunkie.org/torrent/Ubuntu-9-10-desktop-amd64-CD/3650d5de047dcca45306305a03a8801430dff26017c6 Hey it's Ubuntu 9.10 (amd64) CD :smug:
Shit, first TPB, then Demonoid, now this.
I can understand the demonoid part, but nothing really has happened to TPB itself, only the founders. The only big change is that they've had to upgrade hardware and they've switched to DHT+Peer Exchange.

Alot of the old trackers are already shut down, so the Bay is pretty much fucked already.
Goodnight sweet prince.
Fucking Argh.
I thought the new owners are going to convert TPB into a media distribution service. Also the tracker isn't needed.
Photoshop costs more thatn my Apple(!!!) laptop. [editline]11:12AM[/editline] What should I do: I want to see a Simpsons episode. I don't want to wait 2 years to get it with a shitty translation. Yes, that's how we roll in Russia. What can I do to watch it legally, on the day of airing?
