You're right, it's not a developing shithole nation.
It's a "developed" shithole nation.
Holy shit, they have Fanta instead of tapwater
These Russians sure know how to party
imho it's probably just rusted pipes which were never designed for such a load. So the water gets discouloured.
Dude they have hotels where you can't use the water on your face because it'll give you mystery diseases
That is not even close to being fit to host the Olympics. If reporters and athletes are being put up in accommodation like this, what's going to happen when hundreds of thousands more people start showing up to watch?
Black Death v. 2.0
either this or a WH40k Hive city.
I wonder how long it will be until we hear about athletes and journalists getting seriously ill from the water and/or food there.
On the other hand, this could just be a master plan for Russians to win the Olympics as they have a natural immunity to the shit in their land while others will be too ill to compete well. :v:
You're not allowed to take a piss standing up, really?
And you're not allowed to vomit into the toilet either. In Russia. Who are they even kidding?
This is going to be the worst winter Olympics ever, and Russia won't live down the embarrassment.
Least the hotel rooms that house the Olympians are adorned with amazing wall art.

Yo, just saying, it's perfectly ok to hate our country and bureaucrats, but it's not like we're incapable of civil engineering. it's just everything was built for super cheap utilizing foreigh unskilled workers.
So the grass then dies?
It's not dead nor does the 'paint' kill it. That type of grass goes dormant and an ugly color of brown certain times of the year, so a lot of the time people just decide to use non-toxic paints on the grass to make it look better.

Common practice all around the world.

That, I wouldn't mind. At least I'd know it's natural.
little do you know that russia is the world's leader in synthetic bugs
They paint the grass too.

Not to be rude, but then where did the 12 billion go?

I'd expect vodka to come from the sink, but not bourbon. Maybe they're Americanizing it?

For a moment I read that as "Commie practice all around the world." and I was about to make a joke along the lines of, shouldn't it be red instead.

Sochi 2014, sponsered by Jack Daniels.
I wonder what would happen if some athletes contracted some awful waterborne disease, would Russia be held responsible for harming a country's Olympic team?
Hope Russia is prepared to be the laughing stock of the world
Sorry, we can't outdo the USA at that even if we really try.
Sorry, we can't outdo the USA at that even if we really try.
Look, we obviously do some stupid stuff, but come on. You guys had a 12 billion budget, and ample time to prepare, but yet the hotels aren't even finished, some sort of strange mystery gunk comes out of the sinks, and half of the area still appears to be under heavy construction. And god knows what kind of accommodations the guests will be staying in.
I'm not saying we're perfect, but the last time I checked, when we hosted the Olympics, we had hotels that were finished, water that won't kill you, and the infrastructure in place to properly support the magnitude of an event such as the Olympics.

I'm not saying the hotels are bad, but I'm saying that they don't have enough toilets per bathroom.
I wonder what would happen if some athletes contracted some awful waterborne disease, would Russia be held responsible for harming a country's Olympic team?
Havent you heard? They've already nearly killed off the Norwegian snowboarding team!
[sp]Dude broke his collarbone on the course, teams demanding change[/sp]
I'm not saying the hotels are bad, but I'm saying that they don't have enough toilets per bathroom.
Yeah, some people don't feel comfortable unless they have 2 people pooping right next to them, they should add 3 toilets per 2x2 bathroom instead of 2.
I wonder who paid off the officials to get it hosted in Russia..
I suppose they need the double toilets given that water like they're giving there will most likely give everyone the shits really fast.
Not to be rude, but then where did the 12 billion go?
Right in someone's pockets. That's the reason why everything is so cheap
what i learned about russia today: communal pooping rooms
Right in someone's pockets. That's the reason why everything is so cheap
How much longer is this going to happen before something snaps?
