I was worried about the Kiev revolution going quiet - no more sick jokes for me - but now I am safe. Thanks to Sochi I will be stocked with daily sick fun for a few months. God bless mother Russia.
These Russian hotels remind me of some of my first Maps in valve hammer editor
Amazing russia. just wow, after reading through this thread.

This is probably a photoshop
I find it odd to believe people are on here arguing FOR russia, like it really isn't that bad or something. Where the fuck do these internet white knights come from? I can tell you right now I'm from Russia and think Russia is shit and 90% of the population thinks it is shit too. Mind you we make our own good times and I have more than enough fond memories of the motherland, but if we are talking about corruption and government leadership than I garuntee you you will be hard pressed to meet one Russian who would agree with any of the oddball, "Pff Russia is uber functional, just as good as USA" comments. Just a few examples I can think of would be my friend who drives to school and gets pulled over almost every single day by the same cop so he can pay a "road tax" in order to get to school. Or if your shit is getting stolen you yell for help and the cop literally across the street looks, figures you're not worth his time and goes about his day. Of course I didn't live in Moscow, I lived in a much smaller city so maybe tourists don't get the same experience the rest of us do.

In the dog's defense, it was probably trying to give the Olympic hopefuls some pointers.

Criticise us all we want, but you are not calling us shit, you shit. Because calling people shit is unconstructive and bad.
No offense, but... wait, yes offense! Criticise us all we want, but you are not calling us shit, you shit.
I wonder where those 12 billion dollars went.
Probably for all the armed soldiers protecting the event against muslim jihad bombers
Someone forgot to play test their map
Related, someone has to start making gm_sochi. Shouldn't take too long
Now you guys know that this kind of life is what you will get if you ever invade Russia. You have been warned

This isn't all that rare, actually. A lot of more cheap hotels even in the US have a lot of keys that open all the doors instead of the specific one you have. A couple years ago, I stayed in Washington DC overnight for a field trip and a lot of the kids were fucking around with each other because we found out that each other's keys could unlock each other's doors.
Now you guys know that this kind of life is what you will get if you ever invade Russia. You have been warned
There was a joke back in 80s. How to quickly improve the quality of life in USSR? Declare a war on NATO, have a smoke for five minutes, and then announce complete capitulation.
Now you guys know that this kind of life is what you will get if you ever invade Russia. You have been warned
I don't understand could you please elaborate
Oh golly. A twitter account for all of it https://twitter.com/SochiProblems/media

So even after killing off as much stray dogs as they could they still couldn't get rid of all of them.
So even after killing off as much stray dogs as they could they still couldn't get rid of all of them.
From what I've read the dog killing squads have done a terrible job and there's still a shitload of dogs
The video in that tweet link is kind of adorable though. http://deadspin.com/stray-dog-wanders-onto-cross-country-skiing-course-bar-1517391652?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow

Learned Russian from TV and internet, still better at it than some of the native Russians I talked to over the internet. And hell some French ones while I'm at it (though to be fair my french is shit)
This is hilarious to laugh at but they're also demolishing nearby homes and forcing the residents out, most with little or even NO compensation for their house getting demolished to turn into a hotel's pumping station.
The conditions for workers are also poor. There have been reports of people simply not getting paid, and then threatened by their superiors and the police when they complain.
I am deeply ashamed of my Russian roots. I had pride for my ancestors, despite the history that Russia has gone through. The great and delicate social ettiquete before the 20th century, the writers of great classic literature, the sacrifice of Moscow during the war with Napoleon, the terror that the population had to go through in 1937-'38... But this? This is pathetic, it's like we haven't learned anything from the last 100 years.
I can provide some, but it's in Russian. Can't seem to find English ones.
My girlfriend is Russian she can translate for me. :O

did you forget you had a girlfriend or did you need a reason to say you had one :v:
did you forget you had a girlfriend or did you need a reason to say you had one :v:
Truth be told, I tried to be funny. The core of the joke was nationality. Judging from the fact that I'm explaining it, I failed miserably.
