I have an i3 3220, GTX 750 ti, 8GB..... will I suffer much?
i5 3570k and a 2GB 6950. Who else is just scraping it? :v:
I5 3570k and R9-280x. By "scraping it", do you mean "just about superseding the recommended specs"? [editline]14th January 2015[/editline]
I've got plenty of space, skim by the minimum spec, but.. I better find this shit retail.
I have about the same connection. Thanks for reminding me that retail is actually a... ...wait. Didn't they say the retail version doesn't get a Steam Key? In that case, I think I'll rather settle for a week-long download.
67 minutes about
65/(0.220/8)/60<40
It's going to take me 10 hours to download over copper. ;_;
I'm probably just going to download this over night. Honestly I'm kind of upset that they'd delay it once again, but knowing the reputation that other companies have for just pumping out games without and delays or adjustments makes me feel more comfortable in saying that I'm not upset at Rockstar for doing it. I'm also just glad to know that I got a pretty new HD this month, a 1TB hard drive with well over 300 gb's left, and I absolutely surpass the minimal requirements for the graphics card by a mile (actually it's exactly the graphics card in the recommended tab, oops) edit: But besides those, I don't expect the multiplayer or any online function to work for the next day or so that the games released. I'm happy to play the single player for a day then hop right into the action the next day with all my friends.

I meet the recommended as far as CPU and RAM goes. I have a GTX 770 SC 2GB. So i'm set hopefully.
take the two hours to drive to a store then.
I don't have a car and the bus has a 3h 30m time space so I'm going to have to wait almost 4 hours until the bus home arrive.
Minimum is a lot lower than I expected. I'm happy.
I bet the game will be borderline unplayable on minimum specs PC even on minimal graphics settings. It's always like that.
I bet the game will be borderline unplayable on minimum specs PC even on minimal graphics settings. It's always like that.
yeah, exactly. the minimum specs mean shit. like, my old graphics card reached the minimum specs for far cry 4 but the game ran at like 15 frames a second. sure, i could "play" the game, but really, you might as well recreate the game in powerpoint rather than buying and installing it.
Ubisoft can't optimize worth dick though, they rush their games out and don't bother/care about thoroughly testing on PC
Shit, I have a 560Ti and I can't even get 20fps at 720p lowest settings in Unity even after the latest "optimization" patch. I also can't get over 30fps in FC4 while running at 1080p lowest settings even while staring at the ground, which usually increases fps. But at least 720p and high settings gives me 60fps average.
I bet the game will be borderline unplayable on minimum specs PC even on minimal graphics settings. It's always like that.
This reminds me of Morrowind. It was a goddamn Powerpoint-presentation if played on a mininum-requirement PC. :v:

I wonder if it will actually run better than GTA 4 on the same hardware...
If 5 runs better than 4 on same hardware it will be outstanding. A miracle even.
What?
Some people think that Online just restricts the fun that could could have right off the bat without any grinding in IV.
Holy shit. Do you guys know when Bioshock Infinite was still not out and it had 3 pre-purchase tiers with bonus content like TF2 items and such? Dead or Alive has those right now, although with exclusive skins. Well guess what other game will also have it? https://steamdb.info/app/271590/subs/
What can they possibly have in the tiers?
What can they possibly have in the tiers?
Possibly OST, vehicles, weapons related to a Valve game like Saints Row did or even... Liberty City for GTA Online for GTA4/EFLC owners? What I do know is we`ll get many bonuses to make up the delay, some people are still really angry about it (not me).
Motherfucker I already preordered a physical copy :/
Some people think that Online just restricts the fun that could could have right off the bat without any grinding in IV.
not really "think," its like, realizing how utterly flawed the entire system was. like wow, i love having to pay insurance on my own fucking car getting exploded because the other dude didn't have money to pay for it. i love having to grind through long-ass tedious missions, which are like 60% loading screens, just to get like, 5 dollars. i love how i can't just run around and shoot at my friends for fun because we all lose money when we die and have to spend that same money on our ammo and car insurance. this psuedo-mmo shit needs to stop. literally nobody liked it.
this psuedo-mmo shit needs to stop. literally nobody liked it.
That's not the reason I didn't enjoy GTA Online. I quite enjoyed the Sub RPG experience, it's the flaws with Online I had a problem with, if it wasn't so underdeveloped i'd be great. Hopefully GTA's modding community will help with that.
Radeon R9 270 and 8 gigs. My CPU runs at 37C idle, dunno about full load. The PII x4 955 has a limit of 59C before it shuts down so there should be at least some room for it.
I know I'm late, but don't worry about overclocking your CPU, you'll be more than fine.
the longer I have to wait the less likely I am to buy it at full price. I've already beaten it on ps3 a few times and if it gets pushed back again I'm just not going to bother with it.

I never even beat the campaign on Xbox 360, and I only had one friend who had an Xbox 360 when it came out at first because all my other friends are /r/pcmasterrace faglords so I never really enjoyed online. So now that it's coming out for PC I'm friggin super stoked to have incentive to play online and also to get around to beating the campaign.
Lol then don't buy it. Nobody cares. I hate the handling for instance, but I'm still buying it. I'll mod it until it's GTA IV perfect again. If you're really this upset about another 2 month delay, then you're a dramatic queen. Do something with your life besides waiting for a game.
