Lol then don't buy it. Nobody cares. I'll mod it until it's GTA IV perfect again.
So unrealistic and wonky? Alteast GTA V's were precise.
Probably got lucky living in an area with a good provider or university network. I personally have a 100Mbps line and this is only because I got lucky and live in a street with an IT business next door. I doubt without that company I'd have gotten this speed and would have to use a 16Mbps line that only can do 2.5Mbps at max.
sure let's go with that (User was banned for this post ("Speedtest" - Big Dumb American))
These delays, one after the other, pretty much confirms they're struggling to make the game run well.
It absolutely does not mean that. It's been over six years since GTA 4 came out on PC, it's time to chill out a bit and give them some benefit of the doubt. They probably underestimated the time it would take to get things working properly. Everyone knows how rough GTA 4 was, it's likely that between shipping out a port of similar quality and taking extra time to do it right they've sided with the latter option. Everyone should just chill the fuck out, and check it out once it's released. No point aimlessly speculating all the time.
sure let's go with that
I am actually extremely surprised with TWC in my area, I've had nothing but good experiences with them, which is far more than I can say about them when I had the previously on the other side of the state. Unfortunately they only offer up to 50/5, I've spent hours on the phone trying to convince them otherwise.
Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly
I wonder which game they haven't delayed...

I've always had a problem with connectivity from them, I had 100/50 and HD streaming was always an issue.
Unfortunately they only offer up to 50/5, I've spent hours on the phone trying to convince them otherwise.
They would love to sell you a higher speed tier, but their CMTS in your area doesn't support it, and annoying customer support with "give me more speed plx" comments won't do anything. TWC has been gradually upgrading their CMTSes to DOCSIS 3.0 for the past few years, and there's nothing you can do to speed up the process other than being prepared for it by ensuring your modem supports DOCSIS 3.0.
Do you guys think it's unlikely the game will run well for me at 1080p? Intel Core i5 2300 @ 2.8Ghz , Radeon R9 270 OC 2GB 8GB ram?
How fast is actually DOCSIS? I'm semi unfamiliar about it even though I hear it pretty often.
DOCSIS 3.0 is pretty good, and DOCSIS 2.0 was decent but is now quite outdated. ~300 Mbit down and ~100 Mbit up capacity has been deployed (8 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels), but it should be technically possible to get close to 1000/200 on DOCSIS 3.0 if both the modem and CMTS supports it.

Ours finished that like 3 years ago.
I know you guys hated GTA IV handling. Just don't forget, there's also lots of people who HATE the GTA V handling and I'm one of them. Don't bitch about IV being unrealistic because it actually was in a sense. Cars do have weight, they do have understeer and they do require more than 3 seconds to learn how to control. I loved it, and many like me did too. I hate the on-rail feeling that V has. So what. It's ok to have different opinion and preferences. That's the complete opposite of on rails. Another way to describe it as fun and fits the flow of the game, and FPS mode compliments it. No need to be so arrogant about difference of opinion lol
I wonder which game they haven't delayed...
Max Payne 3 didn't get delayed once the release date was announced, did it ?
Max Payne 3 didn't get delayed once the release date was announced, did it ?
http://kotaku.com/5876746/max-payne-3-delayed If this is led to be believed, yes it did. Granted, it was 2 months before the release date as opposed to two weeks. Interestingly though, it was also delayed 2 months.

Guys, what do you think? Can a Geforce GT 840M graphics card run this? :3
i don't understand people saying GTA IV's car handling was "unrealistic" i can't even count the number of times something i did matched the motion of a russian dashcam video
I don't know if I would call it realistic in the sim sense, but the vehicles were much heavier and not quite insane arcade-y like they were in previous GTA's. Everyone acts like they are hard to drive though. It just requires a little more throttle and brake control. You just can't blindly accelerate into every turn. [editline]15th January 2015[/editline]
Guys, what do you think? Can a Geforce GT 840M graphics card run this? :3
Probably on low to medium. But we don't even have the actual game yet so we have no idea how to gauge its real world performance. It might also not run as well as most laptops only have dual core CPU's with hyperthreading. If these specs are to be believed, a true quad core processor is optimal.
drive a car and you'll know why
that would only help if i drove like i do in gta iv?

Which is something they very well can do.
there's wayyy too much bodyroll in everything in gta iv and it makes all inputs a bit delayed and sloppy. not realistic at all.
Glad work has 70Mb download speed. this game is enormous.
Guys, what do you think? Can a Geforce GT 840M graphics card run this? :3
If you mean a GeForce GTX 840M and not a regular GeForce 840M, then you'll be okay for ~medium. But your CPU is really what's gonna make or break you here. Do you have a quadcore? You're already hurting because it's gonna be a laptop CPU though. I have a GTX 560M and an i7-2630QM and I'm already worried about being able to run the thing on low with a stable frame rate given this thing's recent performance with modern games.
there's wayyy too much bodyroll in everything in gta iv and it makes all inputs a bit delayed and sloppy. not realistic at all.
yeah but more close to the real thing, cars do react sluggish once in motion and it made actually accomplishing nice drifts and stunts feel amazing, in GTAV it feels....expected
gta iv's cars handle like a giant brick of lead with wheels
I think the space requirement is for future updates. I mean its a new game with 4k support not to mention an extensive soundtrack and map. I think 65GB isn't that bad when you think about all the resources that are in the game. I do feel bad for those with download caps though..
I'm surprised no-one's pointed out yet that this game's original release window was "winter 2009" :v:
Well, I'm actually glad they took more 3 years to work on it. The game itself is great, and I think the multiplayer is a bit underrated. Sure, it's a little confusing, but fun nonetheless.
Can I play low settings? intel dual core e6600 3.06ghz 3 gb ddr2 ram ati hd 4670 1gb
Is the R* Warehouse Digital Download done separately from Steam, or is it just a Steam code?
