I don't think that will make any difference at all. As long as you have a decent CPU that doesn't bottleneck your system you can run most games provided that you have a good GPU.
R9 270x and an i5 3570k. Also I fixed up my cooling, got an extra fan and cleaned tons of dust out so my cooling is way better.
And I am kinda glad it's delayed since I might not be able to use my pc on the release week since I could be up at my dads for 2 weeks rather than 1, and I am a bit short on money so I can just put the money towards MM3D and get GTA 5 later.
no way am i downloading that
and people mock me for still wanting an optical drive....
I was worried that I'd need to upgrade (ATi 5770, i7 860) but man, those are some low minimum requirements. I'm impressed, and I don't doubt the delay will make it even better. It's only a couple of months, and for me at least falls right in the Easter Uni break
Well, my processor is just as it says in recommended, but my graphic card is worser than GT9800.
Eh.
At least they're not rushing forward with a hurried release. Rockstar's definitely learned from GTAIV.
yeah it's only taken them a year and a half this time instead of 7 months
It's not cancelled.
But it still feels very painful from someone who still doesn't own the game and gets daily updates on how much fun everyone is having with it and having someone who takes personal pleasure in trying to spoil every single aspect of the game for me.
They really want to avoid doing a GTA 4 again.
The recommended specs sounds almost identical to my own computer, i might want to spend some money on more ram and do some general tweaking for my main computer though. For some reason i can't seem to be fully confident with it.
Seems like good timing for me, since I am in the middle of upgrading my PC and the only thing that's worse than recommended is my GPU, which I might be able to get before release date.
Just...oh :(
I5-4690k and GTX 760 2gb, I should be able run this good.
And no one should be surprised by the delay.
I can run the minimum requirements :downs:
Seems like I'm going to have to OC my 2500k a little to achieve stable 60 fps. Hopefully my 760 doesn't disappoint as well
What the hell sort of a compression scheme are Rockstar even using for them to even say you'd need to set 60 GB aside? Sure the end result will probably be less, but come on now. Sixty?! 30-40 would be my absolute limit for today's stuff.
For audio
FLAC
I miss the good old time when games were under 20GB.
Oh well, my computer can run it perfectly though.
Take your time, I will play you when you're ready.
My i5-3550 is just scraping it. Everything else I have is more than enough. But holy buttfuck. That is a bigger game than goddamn Titanfall. Looks like this year's spring HDD cleanup will be coming a tad early. Also glad that my parents upgraded the internet in the house.
The recommended requirements is the specs of my computer so I assume that I will only be able to run this on low-medium.
Because I swear the recommended requirements are always lies.

I recently upgraded my GPU in anticipation for this game (among others) so I'm not so happy about the delay...
Running a GTX 970 and i5 2500k which I got a better cooler for so there's potential for overclocking. Won't upgrade my CPU until skylake but hopefully I can max out GTA V.
Damn son that's some tiny specs for such a massive game.
Other than the black hole required to install the game, that is.
To be fair, if any game deserves to take up that much space, it'd be GTAV
I actually just upgraded my main hard drive so I have a shit load more space
Come at me 65gb
i5 3570k and a 2GB 6950. Who else is just scraping it? :v:
i5 3570k and a 2 GB 660 here. I am literally the recommended specs at the moment.
God fucking dammit I just pre-ordered it too because it was only a few weeks away.
God fucking dammit I just pre-ordered it too because it was only a few weeks away.
What difference does that even make? You'll still get the game. Pre-ordering early or late changes nothing
What can you do i guess, and i can run it on the recommended settings!!

chill the fuck out
At 65gb it would literally be faster for me to buy the disk and have it delivered a week later than it would be to try download it. Maybe this will see the return of physical media for PC's.
