He has exhibited many traits associated with schizophrenia, but fortunately this won't have to boil down to beliefs. He will be examined by psychologists and then we'll have fact. But in the mean time, you have to lean towards what current evidence seems to show instead of what you want to be the case.

There really isn't any proof he had anything to do with these murders/shootings. If his alibi checks out (from what I hear it has) he should be let the fuck out.

I heard that the guy had an addiction to lucid dreaming, and would do such things in his dreams. Perhaps he lost control on reality, not sure whether or not he's in his little dream world. This could all seem like just a dream to him, which would explain his psychopathy.
