Jesus Christ, how horrible. While I don't disagree that the doctor was an idiot for doing this and deserves whatever he gets from this, just imagine how traumatizing it must have been for the doctor. I mean, yeah, it'd be absolutely devastating for the mother, and really traumatizing for the father - but the mother didn't have her face only a few inches away when it happened, like the doctor must have. I don't think any amount of therapy would be able to fully restore the psychological trauma of such an event occurring right in front of your face.
