Holy shit - life is fragile. I can not imagine the pain both the mother and the doctor are going through.
This could have very happened to me. I was born 11 pounds, naturally, but they just broke my collar bone.
I don't get why everyone thinks pulling a baby by its head is shocking? That's normal, isn't it? My mom told me I was pulled by the head with a suction cup when I was born.

Imagine how that poor woman will feel the next time she gets pregnant (IF she ever does again). The entire 9 months she's going to be spitting shit about where to go when it comes time to give birth, and then there's the actual birth! No question she'll go cesarean regardless, but I can't imagine just how madly she'll be flipping out prior to.
It's like having a car and knowing it's got a problem but being unable to solve it, and every time you hop in it and drive, you're focused on this problem... "What's going to happen?" "Am I going to break down in a mile?" "Is anything ELSE going to go wrong?!". You can't just enjoy the experience and feel satiated once you're done... I really feel for her.

Did the head literally get ripped off and separated from the body, or did the spine just snap internally leaving the head unconnected to it? You know, skin and all. You'd have to pull really hard to rip human skin.
