North Korea drops all pretense, straight up says it's going to nuke Washington DC

I just realized how old North Korea's military technology is compared to the rest of the worlds even South Korea's and then I wasn't even scared anymore.
Nothing will happen. NK will eventually become so entrenched in economic and civilian loss that the government will collapse and give it 10 years and a UN joint humanitarian aid mission will launch inside the country and within 25 years NK will become a basic modern day Vietnam kinda country. There isnt much hope for the common folk and NK wont actually attack someone... if they do they will.. i mean come on... lets use reason here... be outnumbered and out gunned within weeks. This is dick waving 101... and wont last to damn long given the conditions of the country. Its reminiscent of USSR in the early 80's almost... the 90's are coming and soon with it will be the collapse...
You realize you're talking about a country with soldiers who are poorly trained, malnourished, and have shit morale, and are equiped with cold war era equipment, right?

The country that got their shit kicked back in the 50's and needed china to bounce back?
When Korea split, the North was actually the more industrialised half. It's around the 70's they started to seriously lag behind, and especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
I'm pretty sure the US has anti-missile technology that could just shoot down the nuke and then attack back North Korea immediately.
If they send a nuclear missile to the US, North Korea is pretty much off the map.

off the map? they'd be off the crust of the earth if they dared to do such a thing (and succeeded, as unlikely as that'd be)

Even just attempting would have them pretty much destroyed.
As it stands, im pretty sure the US has good missile interception systems. That being said, the moment NK does try to launch something deadly at us. They are fucked beyond all comprehension as the full weight of the west falls on them.

we watched their garbage can orbit the globe haphazardly for a short while. Our systems are designed to respond to precision strike ICBMs effectively, if anything else they have is along the same lines we'll probably manage to just intercept and detonate it over the pacific
the only real ballistic threat right now is mortars poised to strike Seoul, and short-range dumb-rockets and the like. Obviously ground troops are a huge threat as well, but at least ground movement can be monitored/countered/repelled, unlike mortar shells
really hoping they don't pull a dick move they'll regret. even if the base of the army's numbers are mal nourished, they still think they're the best thing there is, and will fight tooth and nail like a cornered animal to achieve whatever it is they think they're achieving
One thing is for certain:
They are really fucking good at marching.

This is not an excuse to nuke Sejong. Or bomb it for that matter.
dude have you seen homefront shit can happen mann :tinfoil:
That game sucked....
On topic, I doubt that NK's likely only ally would agree to back them if they attempted this.
I like how in the video one of the guys with the pink and red pom-pom things has his head tilted going, wtf am I even doing here again?

Best thing about it was that it only took three hours to finish. Three hours. Only redeeming factor.

This makes NK look pretty bad ass.
How long are they going to keep this up?
Until a another small nuke goes off somewhere in the world and then a bunch of ICBM's start landing on a particular country.
yeah north korea doesn't really have good nuclear weapons resources
in fact, just play with it yourself, dunno why im just posting pictures:

I was looking what would happen if a "Tsar Bomba" fell onto the center of Stockholm.

Shit
Why do people keep talking about nuking NK. Its NK threatening to nuke the US, not the other way round.
The US nuking NK would kill thousands (probably millions of people) and fuck SK over, along with weakening relations with Russia and China.
Stop saying "hur north korea will b wiped off face of urth, turned to dust, removed from crust" because it won't be. Unless they set off nukes on themselves in some last stand thing.

I doubt Russia and China give a fuck about NK's status or future status.
But still, nuking wouldn't be sensible, and it would also be an overkill.

They don't, but everybody cares about South Korea's status which is very close.

They probably do care significantly about US military activities in the area however, and they'd most likely have a thing or two to say about US setting off a nuclear weapon or invading a nation by their border.

I have faith that U.S.A is sensible enough to not use nukes against such a NK, even if NK attempts to launch one at them.

Luckily they don't have any Tsar Bombas.
If any bombs get dropped on NK, it'll be a precision strike on the Governmental Palace.

Whoever was worried about their GF's family and their family, the NK nuke will barely do anything, really.
Besides that it will probably destroy only the government buildings.
it's probably because we're cool with South Korea and the radiation would fuck them harder than you could ever imagine. That's just the tip of the iceberg with using nuclear weapons, too.
Eh - most of today's nukes don't drop of a lot of radiation. They're still very uh what the fuck did you just use kind of weapon.
