Honestly this is just disapointing. I didn't follow the Pronunciation Book ARG but I thought it was going to be some crap like Slenderman or something embarrassingly bad. But to have Horse_Ebooks turn out to be just some hipster ad campaign for this [URL]http://www.bearstearnsbravo.com/[/URL] is just nauseating.

Eh, it's a bit sad. For me the fun of Horse Ebooks was that somewhere in the world a server was diligently whirring away, trying to post interesting snippets from the ebooks it's trying to sell - mostly failing but instead making something that's just English enough to be funny nonsense, completely by chance. The creator had supposedly forgotten about it, and being a computer it sure as hell didn't know what it was talking about. But thousands of people gathered round this once-forgotten spambot to have a good chuckle. Knowing this was all just orchestrated by a human... Well, I have to give him points for credibility and persistence. But I still feel like it's a rude awakening.
