I loved both Crysis AND Crysis 2
I still don't understand the bandwagon hate regarding glitches when I myself had none.
In what way? I've stated time and time again that my problem isn't with consoles. I've reiterated multiple times my respect for the opinions of those that like the game. Why is it wrong for me to ask that respect be mutual?
Fine, let me explain.
You are bitching over something is most likely going to fixed in future updates. Crytek does respect you. They make a game that ran good on computers that aren't god-tier and they worked their asses off to make a good game. Yet you think that advanced settings and DX11 is so important. The only good thing about DX11 is tessellation and that kills your frame rate.

Way to read.
My whole point was that DX11 wasn't the only reason people were complaining. Wasn't the reason at all, in my case. In fact, I can respect how quickly they got it patched in.
This is also the reason why I really didn't appreciate that RPS article. It encourages the belief that anyone who disliked this game is some illogical, angry nerd with no real reason to dislike the game.
Please stop generalizing, it just kills your credibility.

Personally, the only thing I think is wrong with Crysis 2 is the 60 dollars price tag. Other than that, my friend are spilling over me how good this freaking game is.
it's always the same pretentious bullshit about nothing that's the problem
crysis 2 is a better game deal with it
[editline]29th March 2011[/editline]
but no you can't admit that a game which also came out on a console can be better than the previous one
it's like the same bullshit with bands
no you know they came out with a better album when they turned major, you just don't want to admit it
some people just don't get the joke

Someone disagrees with ME?!?
I don't care if they respect my opinion, they're WRONG, and they must fit into some stupid stereotype to think the way they do. I almost feel sorry for them, it must suck being wrong all the time.
i respect your opinion
so respect my opinion and my opinion is you're making a fuss about nothing
i respect your opinion

The opinion that I'm wrong is inseparable from an opinion that opposes mine, and I get that. All I ask is that rather than flinging useless labels like "pretentious" and attacking each others' character we talk calmly about our points of view, if at all.
I came here simply to promote tolerance, and as far as I'm concerned I've already said anything that can be where that's concerned, so I'm done.
Have a wonderful day.
uh okay cya?

Just to be safe, I'm going to add a new cooler to my computer to keep my graphics board from reaching 1000 Degrees Celcalors.
This is an amazing discovery

dont waste your money, they operate up to 4000 degrees kelvin
you people would say it was console-ized no matter what as long as it came out on a console
it's static, it doesn't mean anything anymore
[editline]29th March 2011[/editline]
pretty amusing article too
Decreased level size, decreased mod support, decreased NPC's on screen, and near total removal of the physics based destruction.
They are valid complaints.
yeah but in the end the game is better anyway so i don't get the problem

Sounds good.
Should I buy a new flux capacitor for Crysis 5?
Anyone that fell for this because they "aren't tech savvy" should be ashamed for themselves, it's really no excuse.
This is why I love RPS. :v:
I'm ashamed it took me so long to recognize the satire. I knew the Joules thing was odd as were all of their benchmarks, but it never occurred to me that they were just taking the piss till I read the comments.
My computer still can't run this shit.

I read the first paragraph and, with my mild understanding of hardware terminology, jumped right to comments to see if anyone else was confused. Made the rest of the article more enjoyable at least.
No he doesn't.
Yes, I went on a rant on a news-article, deal with it.
As for the article and ontopic? It's a funny post, too many people won't realize the satire though.
:bravo: you've managed to misinterpret the entire post! You're responses are full of emotion and pointless statements too, be more analytical. The guy you quoted expressed widely held concerns very clearly and I support him. He's not saying Crysis 2 is a terrible game. He's basically saying its not what it should be and the engine doesn't deserve to be called the crytek 2 engine.

Yeah, I got a little suspicious while reading it but never really noticed it was truly fake until the DX12 part.
Graphs make everything believable.
Man I love these Satire articles

The only thing I can understand may look ugly about Cryengine 3 is the leaves and the textures of some objects. Everything else is beautiful.
1.Crysis 1 Struggled at "High" on my Computer, Warhead Ran better than Crysis 1 on Very-High, and Crysis 2 ran like butter at 60+ FPS on Maximum/Very High on my Computer.
2.I think the reality is? Crytek knows most normal people don't care, and technically your monitor is a type of TV. They have most of the same tech. Start is also a very general term. If you're judging a game by two lines of text? Than we have bigger problems.
3.No, the game has a 55 (65?) FOV for a reason. It is designed for that. As is almost every other game on the PC. They are designed on a small FOV. Using a higher FOV makes the game fish-eyed, and lets you see through your arms and the walls. This isn't even a PC problem, it should not be in your rant. Moues acceleration? Who even uses that. No really, who uses that?
4.What ones? You just say sweeping statements
5.Is your intelligence somehow hurt, or your ego? What does it matter if the game gives a little helping hand? Maybe players who have less intellect (Slower people play games too you know) or people who can't be bothered to study everything in a game. Want to have fun too. I'm so sorry the game tries to cater to everyone. It's not like a fucking text hint is going to ruin your experience.
6.What the fuck are you going on about. I don't even know what this is?
7.You know the problem with you and PC gamers? You're spoiled and have way too high expecations. You are your own cancer and are the reason PC gaming is dying. Why don't you shut the fuck up and enjoy the good games that are released instead of fucking bitching about graphics that are not to your anal perfection or the stupid fucking text that means absolutely nothing. Most Developers do not want your shit and are intimidated by a hard (if not impossible) to please market and the threat of being pirated and hated. But even than. I'm sure Publishers too are more than aware that it is harder to please PC than Console. I don't really know why you all have some kind of Chip on your Shoulder. "PC Gaming" "PC Master Race" "PC Gamers Deserve This and That". No, you deserve nothing more. You paid the same price as a console gamer. You get the same game. Nothing More, Nothing Less.
Excuse me sir, but you are uneducated and lacking brain matter.
1. This is because Crytek cut visuals. In Crysis 1 and Warhead, at any one time you would have various amounts of highly detailed and destructible trees around you. Not to mention shrubbery, grass and wind that affects all of those.
2. When was the last time you called your Computer Screen a TV? Judging the game by two lines of text that can be changed in a matter of seconds is an obvious sign Crytek did a straight port from the Xbox 360. This is further reinforced by the fact that the game is designed for and only supports Dx9.
3. PC games are designed for 75 FOV, and games with widescreen support +90 FOV. Console games that are displayed on televisions cut corners by reducing the FOV to values 65 or lower in order to get a higher frame rate. This is also because the farther away you are from a screen, the smaller your field of view "cone" gets. Think of it like a window. You can see more the closer you get and you have to adjust your ingame FOV accordingly.
Now onto Mouse Acceleration, it is highly recommended to always disable it, but it does have its uses in certain games. For one, its really good in games like Red Orchestra or ARMA, where you need to make slight adjustments in your aim while also having the ability to look and spin around really quickly. Its also good for people with poor mouse precision.
4. I could go on for a very long time talking about these changes but its pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain. Everything from the movement, to the suit itself has been simplified to fit a controller. Hell, only 2 suit powers can be toggled rendering the powerwheel useless. Also, it seems like Alcatraz never learned how to lie on the ground or learn to the side at will, an essential ability to have in any firefight.
5. There is a huge difference between a helping hand and being aggressively suggestive. The game literally pauses at times, to tell you how you should play. And yes, my Ego is hurt because I am playing a game that is rated for a Mature audience that treats me like I have the mental capacity of an 8 year old. Do you not see anything wrong with that? It ruins immersion and is disrespectful.
6. He's obviously referring to how Crysis 2 has taken a step back in graphics and only supporting Dx9 you silly goose.
7. PC gaming isn't dying, its on the rise.
You're generalizing and you sound jealous of PC gamers.
We shouldn't be paying the same with the 60 dollar price tag because 10 of those dollars goes to Sony/M$ when it comes to consoles. Where do those 10 extra dollars for the PC copy go? Traditionally, AAA PC games are sold at 50 bucks, this is a new trend publishers are forcing on PC gamers.
Excuse me sir, but you are uneducated and lacking brain matter.

ho ho hoo
Say what you want about the other criticisms, but the suit works better in Crysis 2 imo.

Not really, the armor now use energy if you aren't attacked, what the hell ? And you can't run if the energy finishes. Cmon it's better crysis 1.
