I didn't say they did?
That's why I'm never going to get a mac. I'm just saying that people who do use macs aren't fanboys, the people who go around acting as if macs are superior and trying to "convert" people to macs are the fanboys.
Why does facepunch hate MAC`s?
This shit is ridiculous, but if it negatively affects that horrible corporation run by hipsters that market hipsters and sell them a logo, then FUCK YES.
This actually seem like karma, considering the gross amount of nonspecific patents Apple has filed.
Kar-Fucking-ma strikes again.
Sounds stupid, but hey, It's Apple, they deserve it, pretentious assholes.
I have a Patent on saying "WTF"
I cant sue most people here.

I have a patent of suing people.
So if you sue them, I sue you.
Like someone mentioned in this thread the "patent war" has gone a lot further than it should've. Patenting something like a lightbulb is okay, but fucking fading text?
Also Apple are pretentious assholes.
I'm going to patent oxygen and breathing and sue everyone.
I've already patented patenting
If they lose...
:smugissar:
Big companies related to informatics look like big kids making tantrums over ridiculous stuff.
Stopped reading at "The amount of text shown can be changed by using a slider, which MONKEYmedia says is covered under its patents."

This is the website of the people who are suing Apple. As you can clearly see it hasn't been updated in a few million years. Press the enter button and be prepared to be bombarded by shitty stock music and a god awful site made in Flash 3.0.
I'm still trying to figure out what this company does.
Go MONKEYmedia!

That's because it's software, your implying Microsoft make their own PC's.
Of course software lasts longer.
I actually hope Apple wins this one. What a ridicolous patent.
If it was any other company, then I would agree with you.
Except none of those were anywhere near as dumb as this.
What was that?
Meh, I'll be happy when the EU brings anti-trust against Apple for bundling their own browser with their own operating system.
Sure, it's stupid, but it happened to Microsoft, and Apple are also a successful company so why not?
This is where the law gets stupid, because Microsoft have a monopoly in general over computers they cannot do things like that, but as Apple don't they are more than welcome to it seems.
Although seeing as Apple force (well did) you to use their OS on their hardware, surely that should have brought some anti trust cases against them.
This is why patents for something as trivial as the way data is shown should not be allowed. I can understand inventors wanting to protect their ideas, but this is taking the piss.
I just patented thinking. You're all fucked now.
So they have a patent on text sliders or something?
This should happen more often :)
REALLY hope Apple loses.
