Starcraft :smug:
They need to spend more time on fixing major things, and getting scientific achievements, not trying to show the similarities between a gamer and a druggy.
Addiction is a made up state of mind. Why stop doing something that feels good for no reason, when you can carry on doing it perfectly find for a damn good reason!
Well not really for some drugs, heroin addicts can die from drug withdrawal.
Because snorting cocaine is the same thing as playing a game! Am I right Korea?
I need no cocaine i have TV TROPES! If you've ever visited it and looked at articles on it you know what i mean.
I could stop playing any time I wanted to. I just don't want to.
Yeah, because you think playing those games are fun. That's psychological addiction. Same for some drugs, like the ganja, your body isn't exactly seeking for it (unlike heroin?), but you think it's just fun to be high / to play this game.
Well not really for some drugs, heroin addicts can die from drug withdrawal.
Which is a pretty good reason to not quit. I think at least.
I could stop playing any time I wanted to. [editline]05:44PM[/editline] I just don't want to.
This man speaks the truth.

Sadly, alcohol is cheaper then some video games nowadays...
But alcohol has negative side effects, Games don't.
Sex.
Of course as a gamer, I tend to go into cocaine withdrawal if I haven't had my fix. /sarcasm
Someone forgot that Correlation does not in fact imply Causation. I want to see a lot more from this than just some bullshit from a Korean research team that provides no factual support. They showed an MMO addict and a Drug addict and provided no other information about them and provided nothing to indicate that this couldn't just be the result or bias on the part of a failed research team. Drugs cause an addiction through chemical means, the chemicals they release in to the body. MMOs do not release chemicals in to the body. They do nothing of the sort. The only interaction between them is between hands and keyboards and mice and between heads and headphones. Given this team's capability and knowledge, that would be arguable evidence that even interacting with a computer somehow causes an addiction. Bloody bullshit science. Korea just loves taking cheap shots at the gaming community. Bad rip-offs of good games and failed science.

Just let Fox News away from this info and everything will be ok.
Drugs + Games = :)
This article isn't stating that drugs and videogames are the same thing, it's saying that the addiction you get is the same. the same drive you have when you fire up the 360 to play an addicting game is the same drive you'll get when you want a fix.
