Opposition to the progress of humankind. Anybody who opposes such progress is a traitor.
I cannot believe you're seriously saying that. Who's to say what counts as progress? You? And what if, maybe, someone has a different idea to yours? They're slowing progress as well?
Opposition to the progress of humankind. Anybody who opposes such progress is a traitor.
Someone has been staring into the abyss for too long.
Yeah, but uh.... is it really necessary to have a Nazi "parade"?
A parade is better than actually attacking everyone who isn't white, blonde, and has blue eyes.
Someone has been staring into the abyss for too long.
Either that, or he's been to his happyplace for too long, where everything he says isn't contradictory and he's not a hyopcrite.
Opposition to the progress of humankind. Anybody who opposes such progress is a traitor.
whats the point of such progress if everyone is too busy being oppressed to enjoy it?
whats the point of such progress if everyone is too busy being oppressed to enjoy it?
Oh no, in such a system internet access would be free to all. Granted it would be owned by the state, but the individual can have access to as much entertainment as he likes. Films, tv shows, games, etc. Allow them all media for free, and eliminate the extremist organisations. Then simply improve conditions to the point that people won't care about wanting more political rights or freedoms, they have a good quality of life and all the entertainment they want.
Nowadays it seems that if you so much mention Nazis (unless you're pulling Godwin's law and calling somebody one) you're some monster. Is there not a wise saying, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it?" Sure, you don't have to go about it in a 'parading' fashion, but still, I think the concept still applies. We can't scream and bury our heads in the sand and pretend like the past never happened. It did and it showed us how horrible human beings can be at our worst, how little respect we can have for human life, how easily people can be swayed into doing terrible, monstrous things, and for that I think we owe it to all of those who lost their lives during WW2 (and the aftermath) to remember what happened; to honour them, and to ensure that the same mistakes are never made again in future.

Edit: Just to avoid the complete derailment of this thread, lets not forget this thread shall we http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1056254/3 Pretty much tells you all you need to know:
I've given up. I won't continue the thread. Even though the posters in this thread have showed evidence that their system is best I won't change my opinion because this is the internet.
As well as that, you will never have politicians again because of this, who, for as much flak as they catch, do solve problems. So all you need to do is instill them from birth not to care about anything you tell them not to care about, as your society would rely on this so nobody forms their own opinion and rebels. I can only imagine what happens to those who find out about world events. That's the only way you'd get them not to care about things, and trying to do so sounds quite suppressive to begin with.
I wish I would go to such school.
This... I'm trying to be angry, but I just can't be. This is so hilariously ironic that I can't even keep a straight face. If you actually click the link and look at the uniforms, they look like something from a self-hating tranny convention or something. The girls doing the Nazi salutes are wearing headbands that look like something the kindergardeners here in the state make for Thanksgiving. To top it off, they're ASIAN! They're not even white! The Nazi "beliefs" are all about being "Aryan" and "superior", and they're Thai!
Thai Nazis? Now I've seen everything.
They're not serious. At all. It's just an annual sports day event every high school in Thailand has. They come up with a theme and then parade, cheer and whatever. Normally themes are along the lines of pirates or a circus or fantasy woodlands or something. I don't know why the hell they chose Nazis.
Personally I compare Nazi's to the colour black than red, as Red is usually compared to communists.
why do people ever think nazi-themed anything is a good idea? [editline]29th September 2011[/editline] an anti-fascist government policy banning certain groups and parties... lol
Aha i read his post and i was like what the fuck. Then it was sobotnik.. then i left the thread.
Aha i read his post and i was like what the fuck. Its just not part of their history and they don't really understand how insensitive it is to westerners. They probably don't see how its any difference than kids dressing up as rapey vikings.
Someone has been staring into the abyss for too long.
Ah damnit, I was hoping to be the first to make a "He Who Fights Monsters" or "Staring in to the Abyss" comment.
The nazis existed only 70 years ago, so its not a big surprise that the jewish community wouldn't like it. Though, eventually people will need to leave the emotions in the past and not bring them into the future. If everyone passed down the emotions to the next generation, we still wouldn't be allowed to mention the "wars" in Tunisia and parts of Spain; these wars being the Punic wars. Or how about dressing up as Huns? That'd be a massive no no because Italians, or old Romans, would get all upset.
People really shouldn't get offended over things like this anymore... The past is past and being butthurt over it is just silly. My country was "raped" by Stalin's communist policies, figuratively speaking, with more than 50,000 deported to Siberia and labor camps and/or killed outright. I however, nor many of the older people have nothing against displaying USSR symbols and/or flags. We simply don't care! We've moved on. We may harbor a slight dislike of Russians in general now, but other than that, everyone's free to display whatever they want (if they don't directly disturb people with it). This is a lesson the Jews should take into consideration. Their constant raving over anything even remotely connected to Hitler or the Third Reich is becoming more and more annoying. To put it bluntly, enough is enough - if you only want to whine about the past, keep it to yourselves because we're sick of hearing it already! Let people have their damn parades...
We rill esterrimate the jews!
I really don't see the issue no matter the intention. Who cares if people get offended.
That's why you put a anti-fascist government policy in place to eliminate all such groups and parties.
sobotnik in one post really.
Its just not part of their history and they don't really understand how insensitive it is to westerners. It's important to remember things like the Holocaust and Nazism so that they don't happen again. I realize we can still remember it without having parades, but stopping an event because "it's related to Nazis" is just censoring things because they're sad, at least on a small scale. And do we really need to be afraid to mention things because they're sad and people died? It would be far more beneficial to learn from humanity's past mistakes than to try to forget they happened in an attempt to not hurt anyone's feelings.
Wait, what the actual fuck? Why the hell did they even do this?
Wait, what the actual fuck? Why the hell did they even do this?
The same reason anyone ever has parades. For the fun of it. It doesn't seem fair to not let them dress up as Nazi officers, we can't just not let people do things because some people might not like it. If that were the case, we might as well just stop interacting with people completely, just so we have no chance of causing them any negative emotions whatsoever.
This is fucking retarded.
Thats not even SS uniforms.
