It's like walking around dressed as a Red Coat (or Yankee in your country). Nobody gives a shit. They'll be like "Hey so where is the reenactment?".
Nazis are a bit more of a recent people, and they kinda did do much more horrible things. I still agree with your point. Only Neo-Nazis exist and they are essentially a gang, not a regime. So really, people probably should be over nazis, but they are not.
