They make perfect sense. I've seen the shit they're talking about in the bible. They follow the bible. That's all. What's not to get about that? It's the "christians" that pick and choose what they want and what's literal, what's a metaphor, what god was really trying to convey when he talks about how herding goats applies to modern life, etc, that confuse the hell out of me.
Yep you're crazy.

You keep on talking how people who believe in God do this and that, and I don't.
You keep on talking how people who believe in God do this and that, and I don't.
Then you're not a christian. You're just a theist of some sort.
Then you're not a christian. You're just a theist of some sort.
"Everyone who does this is that, and if you don't seem to match what I say, you are this". What a load of bullshit.
You probably only know "american" christians, that may be the problem. Not everyone is like those people.

now you are the one who just generalised a whole country's religion good going on keeping the higher ground
now you are the one who just generalised a whole country's religion good going on keeping the higher ground
No, it really IS that different. Christianity has a whole different place in America than it has here.
In America you are frowned upon if you don't believe in god, here it is vice versa.
Nobody says "God bless this country" here, nobody prays in school.
Of course I didn't mean everyone in America, but those people he talks about. They are just not to be found as a large group here.
now you are the one who just generalised a whole country's religion good going on keeping the higher ground
I think hes just dumbing it down for him. Really dumbing it down.
I think hes just dumbing it down for him. Really dumbing it down.
I get what he's saying. However, I don't live in America. Also, as was mentioned, he generalised the entire American Christian population, so he's one to talk.
I get what he's saying. However, I don't live in America. Also, as was mentioned, he generalised the entire American Christian population, so he's one to talk.
Read my last post. I was talking about the group of christians you are talking about.
I get what he's saying. However, I don't live in America. Also, as was mentioned, he generalised the entire American Christian population, so he's one to talk.
You just generalized a whole major religion with just a bunch of bullshit and terrible logic. You're one to talk.
Read my last post. I was talking about the group of christians you are talking about.
I'm talking about Christians.

you're still doing it, it's not like you live in america or have talked to every american christian (see what i'm doing)
You just generalized a whole major religion with just a bunch of bullshit and terrible logic. You're one to talk.
NO SHIT. Thanks, Captain Obvious.
for the record i don't agree with Malumbre as i am opposed to any form of religion and the idea of it, but am not militant about it and respect others choices, but i do think you are being hypocritical
you're still doing it, it's not like you live in america or have talked to every american christian (see what i'm doing)
What are you talking about? That argument is invalid, I clearly stated I don't talk about "every" christian there, I talk about those having the opinion he speaks about -> Whatever the bible states is true and carved in stone, being gay is wrong etc. I am talking about the part of the christian community who thinks like that. And that is a big part of the Christians in America.
NO SHIT. Thanks, Captain Obvious.
So you admit that all you're saying IS based off bullshit and terrible logic.
Yep you're an idiot.
I respect the opinion of Malumbre, my belief is that everyone should do or believe what ever he wants as long as he doesn't hurt others with it.
I just don't like how he seems to say I am either not a christian or a gay hating dumbass.
I get what he's saying. However, I don't live in America. Also, as was mentioned, he generalised the entire American Christian population, so he's one to talk.
Everyone who lives in America, isn't American or Christian. FYI.
And that is a big part of the Christians in America.
why is it that you don't understand what you are saying is equally as generalised as what he is? you're also probably going off what you've seen in movies and the media from america, perhaps a few people you've met from there. how does that make you a judge on what a big part of the christians in america think? if you're going to accuse him of generalising and making unfounded comments with no real proof then i suggest you stop doing it too
i think everybody in this thread is equally incorrect, just on different spectrums
@Rusty: I am not generalizing, a "big part" is relative, and could be whatever. Then lets rephrase that: A big part of the people I have seen, spoken to and met when I lived there. Does that help?
My point is not how people are, or what I believe they are, I am just trying to elaborate my point that he seems to have a wrong impression of a whole religion, and that the religion and the views heavily differ from the place you live.

well yes but i'm just playing devils advocate.
I think the thread is over for me, I can't state my point better and everything else from now on would just be repeating stuff all over.

What? Aren't you having fun arguing with an idiot?
Hes like a little present wrapped in 4chan and Youtube. Combined!

i think you're being a worse than he is, you're just blindly attacking him now as opposed to rebutting his claims and beliefs

You can't have a fun argument without insults.
So you admit that all you're saying IS based off bullshit and terrible logic.
Yep you're an idiot.
No, I said way to point out the obvious that I'm generalising. I know I am, which is why it's ironic that Johnnsen is.
Everyone who lives in America, isn't American or Christian. FYI.
That's why I said he generalised the entire American Christian population. :downs:

How do you choose which parts of the bible to keep and which to toss out? If you believe in the god from the bible, and Jesus, then how do you come to the conclusion that they exist without adhering to the holy book in which they are spoken of? If you don't believe, then why call yourself Christian? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you do claim to be a Christian, yes?
If I could kill Fred Phelps and get away with it, I would. He's sub-human. Less than an animal, even. He's a fucking insect, and someone should smash him.
Not just for this shit, but for everything else he's done, too. The only thing that would satisfy me as much as hearing he'd been killed would be hearing he'd been put in prison and brutally sodomized.
EDIT: Then again, the inmates fucking him might be charged with bestiality.
Why hello there Hitler.
But i would agree that man needs a good beating.
Too bad he actually was able to reproduce.

I agree.
I never said I condone what they're doing by the way, I just think they're doing it correctly.
Fuck, when I glanced at the title, I read it as "Weeabo Church"
I love these guys.
I wonder how dumb or desperate you have to be to think that even bad media coverage is good.
