I love the sign that says, "God Hates You".
But Jesus told us god loves everyone.
Even Romans.
Good for them. Those kids rock.
"There is that of God in Everyone"
Does that even make sense?
"There is the essence of god in everyone"?
Maybe?

It means that them being homosexual is that of God. That because they're homosexual, God must have had a trace of homosexuality in his own likeness.

That's like saying sin comes from God.
That's like saying sin comes from God.
By the logic of the bible it sure does. He made us in his image. We sin. Therefore, god made sin.
To clear some shit up.
-The Bible should not be taken literally. It was written some 2000 years ago, by a human. Morals have changed, and I think you all can figure that out by looking outside and seeing how people interact, dress, and pretty much live nowadays. It's called the Old Testament for a reason.
-Jesus himself never protested against homosexuals. The only reason the Bible hated on them is because back then, the only gay people were men who owned boy sex-slaves. That's changed now though, and any person with a string of logic in their mind knows that prosecuting people based on the actions of people way back when having some of the same interests (in this case, being gay) is bullshit.
-I know many Christians who believe in gay rights, and think abortion should only be allowed in the worst conditions (say, if the mother or child was dying). Get your facts straight before you make an assumption about an entire community.

Fixed

Sin came about by the temptation of the devil, you really should read the Bible before arguing about it.

God made the devil, too.
I'm fairly familiar with the concept of the bible.

Then you'd know the devil rebelled against Heaven.
That's like saying sin comes from God.
He created all, therefore he created sin. He created man fully knowing that, in their ignorance of right and wrong, they would choose to disobey him, and by doing so knowingly created sin and damned us all himself.
It's like sticking a child in a room full of candy and toys, telling him not to play with the toys or eat the candy, then leaving the room and expecting the child to listen. You would think that the almighty creator of the universe would understand this better than I or most parents do.
That's like saying sin comes from God.
god created everything
therefore, god created sin

if god is all powerful, then that means that he let Lucifer rebel and bring sin into the world, since, being all powerful, he had the ability to stop the rebellion

Exactly, and it's my understanding that angels don't get the same rights as humans do. They don't get everlasting love and forgiveness, so Satan should have been destroyed for tarnishing god's creation.
Assholes for standing up for their beliefs?
Beliefs in god for thanking people that are dead. Great work.
Then you'd know the devil rebelled against Heaven.
Why didn't god make Lucifer unable to rebel against heaven or, at the very least, stop his rebellion then?
Why didn't god make Lucifer unable to rebel against heaven or, at the very least, stop his rebellion then?
Because it never fucking happened.
Before you can even begin to bring up the bible, you should first provide some evidence of a god. Since, you know, the whole bible depends on whether or not there is a god in the first place, you should prove the existence of a god first.
Also, before someone says, WELL YOU DONT KNOW!!!!!, It's true, you don't know. So the logical thing to do would be to assume that god isn't real because there is no evidence of his existence.
inb4 absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence. You don't need to disprove that your house isn't about to collapse on you, unless it's showing signs of structural in-integrity, similarly, you don't need to disprove the existence of a fictional being, unless there is evidence of it not being purely fictional.
Did I miss any common arguments?

without evil there would be no concept or understanding of good.

Well said. I don't think in-integrity is a word though.
This is why ignorance, extremism, and lack of education sucks.
Religion = ignorance, extremism, and lack of education.
While religion was involved with the making of a lot of laws here, it should have been a temporary affair. We have basic laws set up now, we shouldn't need the guidance of religion to make our rules anymore.
back in the old days religon was the only way to convince thousands of warriors to fight for one man's belief it was a way of getting people to behave, it was a way of prosecuting criminals. Most religon's only instruct people to lead a good life, not to bully others and look after your self and anyone your responsible for. The idea that God was some kind of entity that lived in heaven and welcomed dead souls was probably invented in britain or rome. The original idea was that god is a temporal being that existed in everyone and was represented in you're decisions and judgement or some shit but he definately isn't a big white guy with a huge beard and lives in the clouds
Nowadays children are brought up and educated, they are taught to understand how to treat others and why everyone should work together and why they should look after themselves. Religon is no longer necessary
Between the 10 Plagues and Westboro Baptist Church, I'd have to go out on a limb here and say God is a complete and total Dickhead
The kids claim they can't be influenced but I bet most of them didn't decide to hate the Westboro' Baptists after carefully reviewing their policies. Peer pressure is great.
Now watch the boxes roll in.
Assholes for standing up for their beliefs?
They "shove" what they believe in in other peoples faces.
Assholes for standing up for their beliefs?
I guess the Nazis were actually okay people then.
Because you know they were just all standing up for what they believed in.
Sorry to bring Godwin in here but jesus fuck.
We've already established that Gmod_Fan77 is an idiot. Moving right along...
getting angry over these morons is a waste of time, it empowers them
anyways, this doesn't really bother me - westboro church is just as bad as any other church
I don't mind people with religions. It gives them something to hold to in the dark times of life. But this? Fucking ridiculous.
