Also Snake Eater 3D is loads of fun if you have the right peripheral, the circlepad.
Nintendo's doomed, Sega will rise and create a new console that will make Sony and Microsoft sweat.

I was wondering whether or not I should get it. I have a new 3DS but I also have the HD version of MGS3. Is it really that worth it?

I would say no. Snake Eater 3D is fun and some of the 3D Stuff is really neat, but the framerate at times can be really low. In like 9 out of 10 cases I would prefer to play the HD Version.
Also I have an Old 3DS with a Circlepad, on which it plays pretty great, and a New 3DS with the Camera Nipple, on which it doesn't play as good. The Camera Nipple does work for Controlling a Camera, but as a second Circle-Pad for aiming it doesn't fare as good as the old one with the Circlepad Pro.

Kid Icarus Uprising is also excellent.
Also, in terms of profit, it helps that Nintendo is making a ton of expansions that people actually want to buy without a second thought.
According to a 2012 quote, Nintendo has around 813 billion yen in the bank, which equals around ~6.8 billion USD with current exchange rates. They can literally afford to lose 20 billion yen ($~166m) a year every year until 2052 from 2012 onward.
To put that in perspective, Capcom, a company that actually is struggling somewhat financially, only has $155m USD in the bank in TOTAL according to a 2013 quote. Nintendo can literally lose an amount of money in one year that Would put current Capcom into near bankruptcy, and then they could keep doing that for another 49 years before getting in deep trouble.
So no, saying that Nintendo is doomed IS a complete joke and will continue to be a massive misconception unless they somehow magically do shit-all for the next ~50 years on a grandiose scale. Even if they continuously posted 40b yen losses like in 2012 and 2013, they'd still be fine for another 25 years even.
not only that but Nintendo has been around 1889, they've been doing this far more than long enough to know what they're doing
Probably because all of those amiibos.
Print more amiibos.
Considering this is the 21st century, they could probably actually do that with the right machines. (I assume the current ones are moulded in the traditional fashion?)

Yes, Snake Eater is good on the 3DS.
Not the best version though. Want to play the superior handheld version, try the Vita.
I know that's not saying much. Snake eater is not necessarily a system seller (or is it?), and the 3DS has been doing much better so far. I wonder what I prefer, Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask for the 3DS or Snake Eater for Vita. Mind you, if you only have a 3DS, it is a better idea to play Snake Eater on that particular handheld console.
To be honest, I don't know anyone who owns a PSVITA.

Super Mario 3D Land
Well, 3D World is similar but kind of just better, but 3D Land is still worth playing.
I bought the fuck out of the Wii U simply for Smash Wii U. 300 dollars out of pocket, but hey, it was worth it. I love Nintendo and I love Smash.
I hope this good fortune continues for them.

I already said in my post that Nintendo isn't doomed.
While it's true that they could sustain such a loss for a long time, you're totally ignoring the fact that losses can be bigger than that. I'm just saying that Nintendo isn't really a healthy company yet. What do they have to increase their profits in the long term? They just released a new 3DS (afaik) that drove sales up a bit, but their console business isn't doing well, and their handhelds are getting less popular by the day. Nintendo only makes games for their own platforms, and honestly I think it's more likely that they're going to make a new console than start changing that policy. That console might fail even worse than the Wii U, which would result in fairly big losses.
I just have a problem with the fact that people are orgasming about a profit that could easily be countered by an even bigger loss next year. Nintendo is doing well when they can sustain a profit for at least a few years.
