Muslims clash with police after burning poppy in anti-Armistice Day protest

They're doing it to piss people like you off. Its social terrorism, not protesting. They don't give a fuck about soldiers. But they know you do, and they know you get annoyed when they offend them.
You know this is a losing battle, right? This kind of stuff will just keep happening and happening.
To be honest: They have a right not to respect the values of said country. They're not doing anything illegal.
Except for the fact alot of the time they are in said country illegally...
Reminds me of this:

Some claimed this was an ''opinion''. The truth is that it's nothing short of digusting and shameful.
it's stupid that these protests are even allowed to be held.
Nice...

The obvious solution here is realize we're all wrong and figure out what we did to provoke the Muslims. It's obvious it's our fault, not theirs, otherwise they wouldn't be unhappy and protesting in the streets.
That's what the general college professor would say in America, just thought you'd like to know that.
Edit: Apparently some thick headed sympathizers don't understand blatant sarcasm, and are actually agreeing with the first line, so I decided to add this to the post.
The same thing is in the Bible.
Show us.
To be honest: They have a right not to respect the values of said country. They're not doing anything illegal.
It's petty treason.

Then the general college professor in America would be right. People don't just wake up one day and decide to protest for shits and giggles.

Hmmm.... Maybe it has something to do with a piss poor job of dividing the Middle East into countries. So we have countries like Iraq with 3 different ethnic groups who hate each other rather than a country for each group.
Additionally, it couldn't be the fact that the CIA overthrew the democratic Iranian government and replaced it with a military dictatorship. No, it couldn't have been anything like that.
It's petty treason.
Do you even know what treason is?
It's petty treason.

In law, treason is the crime that covers some of the more serious acts of betrayal of one's sovereign or nation. Historically, treason also covered the murder of specific social superiors, such as the murder of a husband by his wife (treason against the king was known as high treason and treason against a lesser superior was petit treason). A person who commits treason is known in law as a traitor.
Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour.
nope
Do you even know what treason is?
It's doing bad stuff against your country, but because they've not done as much it's only petty treason.
But I'll shut up as this may cause problems.

I'm not a Biblical scholar, and it would take me forever to look this up, but there are multiple parts in the old testament where the Jews would invade cities and kill everyone because they were "pagans".
I don't recall anything like that in the new testament however.

The New Testament is actually quite tame, I don't recall anything that told Christians to go, "Kill the infidel" however, I do remember plenty of stories about self-sacrifice.

They're pissed off because we fucked them over economically and how we don't follow the Qu'ran, they're fed up with the West (primarily America) provoking and causing trouble in the middle east like with how the CIA helped Islam take over in Iran during the 70's.
But their "Holy War", as detailed in the Qur'an, to convert every country to islam (or kill them if they refuse) is totally justified?
Islam is pretty much the religion of hypocrisy.
Aren't ALL religions hypocritical?

They did indeed but it wasn't to spread Judasim, you couldn't just convert.
It would be more correct to say that the Torah shows it, than the Bible.

I would have thought Muslims would be happy with this.
Islam is a great trolling tool.
Problem Brits?
I wouldn't be surprised if they get lynched
fuck I don't support the war but burning poppies is just wrong
To be honest: They have a right not to respect the values of said country. They're not doing anything illegal.
That's all well and good, but when in a foreign country it is usually accepted that a (decent) person should respect the values, traditions and the way of life of that country. It's like being accepted into your neighbours house and then taking a dump on the middle of the floor - it's not illegal, but it's not right.
Then the general college professor in America would be right. People don't just wake up one day and decide to protest for shits and giggles.
And you're a product of the brainwashed youth America now represents. Enjoy being destroyed when you decide to embrace them.
[editline]11th November 2010[/editline]
and how we don't follow the Qu'ran.
Yeah because the Qu'ran is international law, right?

It's a plant, who cares. Just because you want to put some arbitrary symbolism into a plant doesn't make it wrong to burn it.

So, not being a bigot means I'm brainwashed? nice to know
Gives such a bad name to muslims everywhere. A great shame.

Taking a shit in the middle of someone's house is illegal though

They gathered near Hyde Park in London before burning a model of a poppy on the stroke of 11am then marching along Exhibition Road and along an underpass, past the Victoria and Albert and Natural History Museums.
I hope they catch themselves on fire with that poppy.
These disgraceful globules of congealed shit are the bane of a modern society.
