I've seen far worse on Twitter as far as harassment goes than on any of the chans (which I admittedly don't use much though), most of it coming from people not acting as trolls but as 'activists' often with their names attached.

Absolutely nothing has changed, the only difference is that trolls now bear banners of social movements occasionally.
