regarding wind waker, im replaying it after yeeeeears and ive just gotten to the point where you sail for 10 minutes to a desolate shithole only to have a bird man come and tell you "oh btw theres nothing here, go here instead, ok bye" that on top of a really annoying stealth segment makes me question why this particular zelda title is so popular. maybe im wrong and it gets like 300% more amazing later on, but right now im thinking that its only popular due to the art style

To be honest they really fucked up with the stealth segment.

Despite the WiiU's poor showing they will probably make up for this when the game is released in the US, where people happily throw crazy sums of money for bare bones remakes of games they already own. Related, yet not related, I am partially a hypocrite as I bought Final Fantasy Chronicles like 12 years ago for $50 and it barely added anything substantially new. In my defense though, I never got to buy Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV/2 US in the SNES days. Plus, unlike Wind Waker, original versions of those are tricky to find and buy for a reasonable sum.

No one forces you to buy it again, if you have it already on the Gamecube. Wind Waker got despised when it came out being too "cartoony" for a Zelda game, but after years it gained its title for being one of the best Zelda titles ever made. There will be its customers, also, you don't get the sail from the beginning, you can get it much later on, or just not use it. It's also not super fast, maybe 30% faster, but not lightning speed. The grapics are amazing. The artstyle only benefits from the bloom, full HD and Anti Aliasing.
