They're true. The game's first official campaign add-on is all about pirates. It's called Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty. It will take you to an entirely new area of Pandora, a wasteland that was once a beautiful resort by the ocean called Oasis. There you will meet new characters, embarking on a journey to find Captain Scarlett's treasure and battling pirate bandits and sand worms along the way. Don't worry, you can run most of them over with a sand skiff, the DLC's new vehicle (pictured below). The DLC will be out on October 16th—same day as the original release date for the Mechromancer character class—and available for $10 on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Or, if you have the $30 season pass, it comes included with that bundle. Hooray! We'll have hands-on impressions of the campaign DLC next Monday. Will there be sarlaacs?
Hovercrafts! Fuck yeah!
Fuck me for not having enough money to get this/season pass.
I'm not even finished the story yet!
Please don't pull the pony references shit again.
boner
"Please only put references of things that I enjoy in the game"
More like please don't spam a lot of references of only one very mixed-opinion thing.
I still don't see why that matters at all it's just a few skill names and maybe one thing Jack mentions at the begining of the game
Please don't pull the pony references shit again.
There were like two references that only people who watch the show would get(Or people who has way too much time on their hands and watch a show just to hate it) I didn't see the references at all before you idiots whined way too much.
Same as Crimor, never watched MLP and I don't even care if people like it or not, guess what? I didn't get any of the references and therefore didn't get butthurt over any of them.
Well I learned not to buy season passes with Saint's Row: The Third. I'll wait for reviews, especially since it's made by some company that made a playstation move game.

Mostly only people who watch the show get them, but getting them is not the problem. The thing is that suddenly pony fans went "look how powerful we are we even control videogames". Literally.

See: all BL1 dlc's, and the mechromancer.
Look's like i need to buy a Season Pass then. Seeing that Borderlands 2 is worthy of such a thing.
oh my god seriously who gives a shit about mlp, guys did you notice that a new dlc is about to come out in 5 days and it has pirates and stuff
agreed. but still, derailed at the 7th post. it's got to be a new record
agreed. but still, derailed at the 7th post. it's got to be a new record
This is SH, Probably not
agreed. but still, derailed at the 7th post. it's got to be a new record
Hardly a record. I've seen worse. Anyways, I wonder how many Star Wars references they will be adding with this DLC. There has to be at least one.
agreed. but still, derailed at the 7th post. it's got to be a new record
Not at all, I saw a thread like a week or two ago derailed with the first reply. Anyway, that's pretty cool, I'm about a fourth of the way through TVHM and a friend I've been playing with just has the final mission to complete. So it gives me something to go back and do on my own and something to do with my friend. Also, quite being so fucking whiny about the references. They hurt literally nothing. I didn't even know there were MLP references in it until I read this thread.
i like how you guys complain about day "1" dlc on most games but if its a game that isnt played by everyone and their dog its okay. hipsterpunch
i like how you guys complain about day "1" dlc on most games but if its a game that isnt played by everyone and their dog its okay. hipsterpunch
The game has been out for like a month... Last time I checked day 1 dlc had one criteria: To be released on day 1 Also, this is a great time to release the DLC, as many people, including me, have/are about to finish the game, and will want more content. If you have played the game, you would know that they didnt leave this out of the game to sell it later, as the game feel really, really solid with content.
I dunno, it sure seems like they pumped it out pretty quick. $20 says they had it done or mostly done when BL2 shipped and could have included it.
Games typically have be finalized about 30 to 45 days before release. That is at least an entire month before the game comes out where the development team has nothing to do but either work on DLC or check/prepare for any issues that had been missed before.
then they could have used that to time to fix the numerous bugs instead of working on the dlc
I haven't really encounter that many bugs. Only one really sticks out that I know of. Also, you do realize that they have multiple departments, right? Departments for DLC, departments for bug fixes, that kind of shit. Its not just one guy doing everything.
then they could have used that to time to fix the numerous bugs instead of working on the dlc
Another entity is working on the DLC, not the BL2 devs themselves. What you people always seem to forget is that there isn't just one person working on a game, they can make DLC and work on fixing bugs AT THE SAME TIME. I know it's a crazy notion, but trust me, it's true. [editline]11th October 2012[/editline]
I haven't really encounter that many bugs. About the only thing they seem to be patching are the Golden Key exploits floating around.
How much is the DLC going to be?
How much is the DLC going to be?
Each DLC will cost $9.99, and the season pass (worth 4 DLCs) goes for $29.99 Says 10 and 30 in the source but y'know, Marketing stuff
