"Line the fuckers up and have a firing squad shoot them" yes that is a totally reasonable and not over the top response.
You see some nasty shit on the internet, you close the website, problem solved. Why can't you do the same thing with 'cyber-bullying'? [editline]19th October 2014[/editline] Social media =/= real life
Because that's not cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is when someone relentlessly goes after you everywhere you go online to make you feel like shit.
The Badage Boys are back in gaol.
Because that's not cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is when someone relentlessly goes after you everywhere you go online to make you feel like shit.
If you don't give them a reaction, they will go away. Hence the term "don't feed the trolls".
It's all about presentation. Tyler's argument looks like something I'd see satirical in the OIFY, I mean every fucking word is capitalized and he goes "Hahahahahaha" three times. Regardless of how serious he is, I can't take him as such. RustledJimmys' post looks more like an actual opinion, which leads to dumbs.
I think it's because this Tyler person feels that his argument is strong enough, considering that simply "walking away" or "closing your eyes" might not help in an "actual" bullying situation. [editline]19th October 2014[/editline] Also the main lesson to be learned on the internet I guess is: don't be an attention whore
The problem with people that write they laws is that they think of the internet as they would real life. On the internet, if someone is bullying you and causing you anxiety, you either ignore them or block them. Most sites have that kind of feature. Putting someone in jail because they upset you is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Even if, worse case scenario, someone is following you and constantly harassing you, it is so incredibly easy to just go under another name and move on. I absolutely despise all of these new laws and restrictions regarding the internet. One of the greatest aspects that I've enjoyed about the internet is the freedom to say and post whatever you want. I hate the idea that someone's freedom could be restricted because they hurt someone's feelings.
The problem is that laws like this have a tendency to lead to people getting arrested because "this person said something nasty about me!" which is fucking dumb. They need to make sure they stick to only arresting people who actually flat out harass people not just people who aren't nice on the internet.
i dont get why people say "duh just log off social media if youre being cyberbullied" it doesnt work that way, they can still make rumors about you and shit like that
Your daily reminder that acting like an asshat isn't okay, even on the internet.
it is okay, u r just faggoté
If get a phone call with someone calling me a fag or something I put the phone down. If someone calls me threatening to rob/hurt me or someone I k ow, starts saying creepy shit like the color of my house or whatever, I can't exactly ignore that. Don't do anything you wouldn't do during a phone call?

[editline]19th October 2014[/editline] Social media =/= real life
There's a bit of a difference between a completely anonymous user being a dick towards another anonymous user, and someone that can be seen as an actual threat. I.E You playing for example CS:GO, someone types "lol *yournickhere* you suck faget go kill yourself" in the chat, is not the same thing as; You getting randomly contacted on a forum or whatever, the person types something such as "I know your name, I know that you live on X address, I live only a couple of hours away, and I'm going to fucking murder you" Or like, what, if someone suddenly calls you and threatens your life, would you just go "lol it's just a phonecall", and forget about it?
Gotta protect those SJWs from getting PTSD from misogynists on the interwebs
On the bright side now YouTubers who use "troll" as a buzzword to get people to click their videos can all get put in jail.
