Pretty racist.
It's still entirely accurate.. Also i don't see the racism in defining an area based on the race of the majority residents that live there. Either way its certainly not worth tiptoeing around the fact.
Pretty racist.
It's what people call them; and honestly, those places are probably the parts of the GTA you will experience racism on any given day.

"Well they're racist against me so I can be racist against them" "everyone else is doing it, so i might as well too!"
He's still a lying scumbag. Pretending to be open about your 'mistakes' and acting repentant isn't quite as good once you can't lie about something any more and are backed into a corner. You must keep some pretty shitty company. Furthermore, they're not in toronto, and I've never experienced racism there.

It's not really that anyone I know is especially racist - we call it that because that's what the Bengali driving instructor we all had called it. I can't say I've had especially fond experiences there, myself. As for Scarborough, we tend to call it Scarberia because most of it have found it a desolate and kind of shitty place to go.

It's true that Scarborough sucks, but calling it Scarberia is a bit silly.

Does that mean i keep shitty company too?

When people call Brampton things like Brangadelsh or Brown-Town or whatever, it reminds me of: http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video640.php?v=wshh1E3pAwZ9ln2t3KN5&set_size=1 [editline]3rd November 2013[/editline]
I don't know how many people you actually talk to but that is a widely known name across toronto for brampton.
It's kind of cute you think Scarborough is desolate. It's true that Scarborough sucks, but calling it Scarberia is a bit silly.
It's also a bit silly to not see that these are mildly humorous, clearly hyperbolic nicknames for places.
Yea its not needed. It may have racist undertones but i don't see it like that. What some people find racist doesnt mean everyone finds it racists. It's not like we are calling people the n word. So thats how i see it.
I've heard both of those as well as calling Oshawa the Schwiggity and Pacific Mall in Markham gets called China/Asia Mall on occasion. Especially Scarberia, I've never met a Scarberian who liked it there; they all agree it's a desolate, gang-ridden hellhole.
They completely ruined the skyline in downtown
I disagree, it looks pretty decent. Here's a photo I took of it (on my cell phone) recently. sounds like he's 100% confident the video doesn't have him doing anything illegal, just stuff thats seedy and something a mayor shouldn't be doing at 3 in the morning

It's ruined even if you're down on lakeshore.
It's beginning to become the only affordable area to live near Toronto. With brampton and Mississauga prices skyrocketing and the fact that all the jobs are in Toronto, its not good news at all. And Scarborough, nobody wants to live there.. lol
Psh, in Scarborough anything below Eglington is absolutely fine.
More like his advisers told him to do this if he wants a chance at winning next election. It's the typical " I admit i did something wrong, unlike other politicians who never admit, please vote for me"
Even if this is the case it's good that he's owning up to it.
Even if this is the case it's good that he's owning up to it.
Only now that the police have taken away reasonable doubt...

Everything north is practically Asian.
Even if this is the case it's good that he's owning up to it.
"I didn't do it." "Yes you did." "Did not." "Did so." "Nope, you're wrong, I definitely never did it." "Yes you did, we even have video proof!" "Okay I did, and I'm very sorry."
