19.8% of the american population smokes. If there were 10 people and 2 of them had an unhealthy habit that bothered the other 8, the other 8 could ask them to stop. This is called a majority decision. Are you saying that the actions of the few should be justified when they are uncomfortable for the many?
Asking and forcing them are two different things. A law is forcing someone.
Ban smoking entirely already
Two wolves and a sheep decide what to eat for dinner...
The wolves eat the sheep. Majority wins.
The wolves eat the sheep. Majority wins.
I smoke. Multiple people have told me not to smoke. I still smoke. The majority lost.
The wolves eat the sheep. Majority wins.
You're not reading into it enough.
The wolves eat the sheep. Majority wins.
You're shooting your own foot.
You're shooting your own foot.
How so?
The wolves eat the sheep. Majority wins.
The whites enslave the blacks. White wins. Or did you draw an arbitrary line somewhere

They're making this law for the supposed safety of others, which would be fine if the safety of others was actually in jeopardy.
But nothings nicer than taking stroll with some friends in a park while smoking a blunt.:frown:
How so?
You've been demoted from thick to troll.
You're missing the part where I said anyone who breaths in smoke will drop dead on the spot.
My dad almost died from smelling peanuts. The amount of people who are as allergic to peanuts as he is could be comparable to people who would drop dead from smoke. Peanuts aren't banned.
Good, public smokers are just annoying.

[editline]04:06AM[/editline]
You've been demoted from thick to troll.
Give me an example of me trolling. Also give me an example of me being thick? I'm just strongly opinionated, is that a bad thing?
You're missing the part where I'm not talking about nuts anymore.
You're missing the point. The government is banning cigarettes, but not peanuts. How is this even remotely fair? You seem to not give a shit since your allergy is cigarettes, not nuts.

By your logic, if a small minority of people was allergic to water, we should ban water, even though the majority like it / aren't bothered by it. Smoking is something done by the minority that is not liked by the majority. [editline]04:11AM[/editline]
ATTENTION EVERYBODY: Azur has stopped using nuts as an analogy, you are no longer allowed to used nuts as an analogy in this thread.
Water is the new analogy :v: It got beyond using it as an analogy. You missed the point of the analogy and began arguing at me about nuts, rather than the original subject.

It's the same situation with a different substance
Fuck water :colbert:
And what's the problem with that exactly? It's the same situation with a different substance
It's not the same situation. The only similarity is that a substance causes discomfort for some and not others. Read what I said about minorities and majorities.
the water is fucking fine :colbert:
is not liked by the majority.
When debating, speak for yourself. Also, majority doesn't matter. It's the governments duty to protect the sheep.
So... where should these people smoke?
It's the governments duty to protect the sheep.
I'm pretty sure that's the farmers' duty. [editline]04:17AM[/editline]
So... where should these people smoke?
Not in a public place?
Restaurants obviously
the water is fucking fine :colbert:
Says you. You drink water. You don't know how hard it is for those who can't.
Not in a public place?
NEWSFLASH, the entire fucking outside of cities are public places. Where? Only in their houses?
I'm pretty sure that's the farmers' duty. [editline]04:17AM[/editline] Not in a public place?
Why? They have every right to smoke there as you have the right to choose whether or not to stick around them.
Smoking is bad
You've been demoted from thick to troll.
