Yes, it does actually or else it's just stupid shit. If you don't want to be called out on your "thoughts" then either have some logic behind it or don't post it. You can sit there and say "opinions cant be wrong!!!!" all you want, but everyone will think you're a fucking moron for doing so.
My opinion on smoking is backed up by the negative health effects it has, along with its expense, and addictiveness. Smoking is illogical for these reasons.
Same up here, picked up a couple Primetimes the day before the ban came into affect, though apparently you're still allowed to order cartons online, unless that's just hearsay
I'm pretty sure you can do that still. Places just can't sell them in the states. It's a stupid ass law and I hate it. I don't smoke at all and I hate all these anti-smoking laws. I have a girlfriend who smokes too, and it's a shit habit but I have no right to tell her or anyone else not to smoke. It's their life and they know the risks.
My opinion on smoking is backed up by the negative health effects it has, along with its expense, and addictiveness. Smoking is illogical for these reasons.
no one is saying that smoking isn't bad for you
An opinion's just someone's thoughts on something; it doesn't require logic. Who are you, Spok?
Opinions are subjective, but that doesn't mean they're not associated with logic. When a law is being made based on faulty claims about the safety of citizens' health, then something is wrong with the logic. And you're trying to force your opinion down others' throats with your petty claims about your own personal health risks that don't have anything to do with other people and are only associated with your own sense of responsibility. Just because YOU think cigarettes are dirty and disgusting doesn't mean other people shouldn't be able to smoke them in wide open spaces. I might think mushroom soup is disgusting and detestable, but I'm not going to try and outlaw the dish being served in public restaurants.
Opinions are dumb because they're not the same as mine! :downs:
If you purposely approach smokers to bitch about their smoking you're pretty dumb. I'm not saying you do it; it was the example at the time.
My opinion on smoking is backed up by the negative health effects it has, along with its expense, and addictiveness. Smoking is illogical for these reasons.
And all those things are a persons choice. You have no right to tell someone not to smoke. That's beside the point anyway. The point you should be trying to prove is why smoking should be banned from public areas. All you have said is shit about being allergic, and that's something YOU can control. Just don't go around the smoker or wear a face mask. Some people are allergic to dog hair. Ban dogs being walked outside.

Pissed me off when they banned blunt and flavoured papers in April, mostly for the "think of the children" reasoning behind it
Azur has already admitted that he wants smoking banned simply because it's "unsanitary and antisocial".
lol glad to see that we have another FPer that supports banning anything they disagree with
Azur has already admitted that he wants smoking banned simply because it's "unsanitary and antisocial".
well then he's a whiny child
My opinion on smoking is backed up by the negative health effects it has, along with its expense, and addictiveness. Smoking is illogical for these reasons.
Are you going to come along and tell me I can't waste my own money on whatever I want or degrade my own health in any way I want? Why don't we outlaw sweets because they can give you cavities or make you sick? You might think there's no point to smoking, but a lot of people find the effects of tobacco rather calming. Just because something has health risks doesn't mean you should be denied the choice to do it.
How did he work out smoking as antisocial
Yeah, it's a shitty law. Pissed me off when they banned blunt and flavoured papers in April, mostly for the "think of the children" reasoning behind it
Yet wine coolers and flavored alcoholic beverages remain legal. That's why laws like this are so stupid. They always have a double standard and are most likely the result of lobbyists. [editline]11:30PM[/editline]
How did he work out smoking as antisocial
Because I guess if you smoke it creates an anti-friend bubble? Who knows.

Hey guys, lemme just leave this here. Central park is 843 acres large, that's fucking HUGE. Your telling me if someone is smoking in a 843 acre large area you can't move a few feet away from them? that's a load of horse shit, stop whining.
Smoking is for attention seeking teenagers.
Smoking is for attention seeking teenagers.
And for people who want an addiction that they can hopelessly defend while they do whatever.
And for people who want an addiction that they can hopelessly defend while they do whatever.
Is it hard to believe that some people genuinely enjoy smoking? You think every person on the face of this earth does it for image?
It makes their dumb convictions make sense to them
I can't speak for cigarette smokers, but I was just chilling out on my front porch at two in the morning smoking a pipe, and damned if I don't feel incredibly relaxed right now, kinda like how you feel after fapping.
as a smoker i don't mind,i can understand why nonsmokers hate the smell and so on.
Smoking is for attention seeking teenagers.

And for people who want an addiction that they can hopelessly defend while they do whatever.
These people are psychologists.
No, you can quit.. but it lingers with you till you die. Most go back to it, within 5-20 years of quitting.
What the fuck? I smoked up a storm for 2 years straight and ever since I quit I haven't felt a single craving to go back. [editline]03:04PM[/editline]
Why? Cause we don't wanna die by lung cancer caused by smoking?
If they don't want to die via lung cancer, they shouldn't smoke. [editline]03:05PM[/editline]
These people are psychologists.
Heavily experienced psychologists indeed.
What the fuck? I smoked up a storm for 2 years straight and ever since I quit I haven't felt a single craving to go back.
You only smoked for two years. You quit early, which was obviously a good decision.
You only smoked for two years. You quit early, which was obviously a good decision.
Even then I was still addicted to the shit and had withdrawal when I didn't get my smokes every other day. I ended up quitting cold turkey, suffered through some shakes and stuff, but then it all eventually faded away. Haven't felt anything towards cigarettes since, I like the smell though, reminds me of my childhood.
I like the smell though, reminds me of my childhood.
Sounds exactly like a bit of lingering psychological addiction.
You only smoked for two years. You quit early, which was obviously a good decision.
It's still pretty hard to quit after smoking for two years.
Lets see them enforcing that BS.
Smoking is for squares, guys. oh 90's
Sounds exactly like a bit of lingering psychological addiction.
Which can go for anything someone enjoys, though.
