Am I the only one who doesn't use any antivirus?
No, but you really should install one.
Am I the only one who doesn't use any antivirus?
just install MSE you won't even notice it

-snip late-
I remember products that basically threatened you to install McAfee. INSTALL THIS WITH YOUR FREE PROGRAM FOR JUST £12.00 monthy DO IT! [Ok] [I cant handle the truth]
Seems odd, I remember reading an article a few months ago about this guy. He has a huge beef with the mayor of that town because the mayor is a corrupt motherfucker and wants MacAfee to bribe him. The mayor even had MacAfee's dog shot
His house got raided by gang suppression officers, who shot his dog in the process of the raid. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1182329
Why would you not use an antivirus? You're just screwing yourself up the ass and compromising the integrity of (what can be) an extremely expensive, important piece of equipment. Sure safe browsing regimens are important, but they're not foolproof. It's not like antivirus software is some superintrusive horrible thing, assuming you're not using something that's complete shit. Just use a good antivirus, adblock, and noscript, along with common sense, and there's a good chance you'll never have any problems. And if you do, you're prepared.
Pepper;38424452']How the fuck do you know you don't have any viruses? A good virus is one that isn't noticed. And what about a drive by virus, or flash drives? You are one hell of an idiot.
I havn't been using any anti virus software for about a year, just installed AVG and it didn't find a single thing. If you only go to the websites you trust and use sandboxie for the websites that look like you'll get a huge ass virus you should be good to go. Adblock is also pretty damn important if you're going to be doing this so I've been using that although you can't really call it anti virus software.
Scan it with MBAM then come back. [editline]13th November 2012[/editline] AVG nowadays is useless.
Scanned with Malwarebytes and it didn't find anything. Could be luck but I'm gonna say common sense is a pretty good deterrent. I'm not saying Anti virus software is a bad idea though, just that if you don't have any you can still be pretty safe.
mcafee sux anyways yolo
I read the title and some article and was expecting some top quality pun as the first post, and then I'm greeted with this.
'John McAfee' sounds like a loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules
I dunno about loose cannon cop, but it reminds me of Doctor Dolittle.
'John McAfee' sounds like a loose cannon cop who doesn't play by the rules
You're thinking of Assy McGee
So what exactly is wrong with AVG? [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Everybody just says it sucks and never backs it up with reason
Oh god I use Mcafee whyyyy [sp]VOLUNTARILY[/sp]
So what exactly is wrong with AVG? [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Everybody just says it sucks and never backs it up with reason
False flags everywhere while ignoring alot of actual malware and ads shoved into your face every 3 seconds. It used to be a good AV back in 2009 but it slowly went downhill.
I'm pretty happy with avast, but I like MSE just as much. I put avast on my mothers computer because I can use the web interface to check it's upto date and if it's flagged anything up, something MSE doesn't do.
