Well, better than Hillary, but Still going for Bernie.
Actually it does matter, Vermont is one of about a dozen states which holds open primaries.
It really should be illegal to hold closed primaries. It goes against any aspect of having a proper democracy or republic. Thank christ I live in North Dakota. I plan on voting for Bernie Sanders as my democrat-npl nominee and hopefully convincing others to do the same because fuck Hillary and fuck Biden.
I don't really have much of an opinion on Biden.
In some ways he gives off a similar supportive grandfather that made Eisenhower so well liked.
I don't know where he stands on any issues but he certainly seems to be a sane moderate, unlike an increasing number of his contemporaries.
If he runs, I could see this going one of either two ways.
A) Biden and Hillary prove unpopular enough with voters that the Democrats have no choice but to nominate Sanders as a dark horse candidate to compromise.
B) Biden splits the Democrats dividing the party and allowing "wreck iTRump to unite the Radical Republicans and win the election.
Whatever happens, I expect this election to be the beginning of the end, either for Corporate ownership of the government, or for the American Republic.
Same boat as W. Good guy, would like to have him as a goofy uncle/grandpa, most likely a bad president.
I mean, I doubt he would be Bush's level of bad because Bush let himself get walked all over by his friends where as Biden does seem to have a mind of his own, but I still don't think Biden would do all that well.
Too me, he really would just be an extension of Obama's presidency, which is exactly what we don't need. Obama managed to keep us afloat a little while longer but many of his policies were highly conservative and he wasn't headstrong enough to get any kind of actual change done. He just preserved the status quo, nothing more.
