In the article, they say that there's a lot of other noise that goes on within the work place, and that the boiler was designed to be sound-proof.

This is actually a lot more common of an occurrence than you think. I don't think the hives are usually quite this big, though.
My uncle has taken up beekeeping as a hobby and put a couple hives on our property. Pretty cool stuff, lemme tell you.
