I couldn't imagine being forced to choose between staying and living under a possible dictator, fleeing, or risking my life to attempt to save my country, knowing that if I and my brothers failed that we would likely be sentenced to the equivalent of gulags.
This will end up in history books.
Actually all you need to do is bypass the built-in detonator circuitry with a little detcord and a nokia cell phone. As long as you can trigger the conventional stage you can detonate the entire warhead, and most of them use an explosive in that stage that detcord will trigger. If not detcord, raw electric shock itself.
I'm pretty sure to detonate a nuclear warhead the thing has to be detonated EXTREMELY evenly all around the nuclear material. It isn't C4 where a shock from detcord is what it takes to set it off

You misread what he wrote - he said that the warheads themselves have an explosive built in for the detonation which can be triggered by detcord.

Turkish nationalists aren't going to get in the way of a dictatorship unless they find it to be "un-Turkish". If you mean Greek, Kurdish, Armenian, and/or Cypriot nationalists, well in the unlikely event that manage to succeed at doing anything they'd probably just break away from Turkey and leave Erdogan to rule over whatever's left.
