So many fat people...
I'm fine with this because I don't play bad games and therefore this doesn't affect me
Than neither does this thread... so??
meh dont see anything bad with this because it's not item codes or dlc codes. It'll help the sales of the products involved
Don't pay for Online interactions for 15 minutes if you buy a can of Pepsi!
MW4.
Looks like I'l be buying coke so I don't' have to see cod on my cans of pepsi
What about fat gingers?
theres this really fat ginger kid who's like 13 in my school and he actually waddles like a penguin it's pretty hilarious
Yes keep giving me reasons to not buy this game! MOAARR!
This made me want some Doritos

lol bullying so funi xDDDD
[editline]a[/editline]
I guess it is then..
This really doesn't change anything for me. I like pepsi, so I'll buy some. The only thing that'll change is maybe i'll give those codes to some friends at school who play the game.
Then I'll go home and play some civ 5.
lol bullying so funi xDDDD
i've never interacted with him in my life i'm not a bully lol
Oh boy, here comes the cool kids down the lane. Going to da grocery stores buying Pepsi cans with "XP" to become even cooler.
Now, where is the Battlefield promotion for Coca Cola?
Don't drink soda, rarely eat Doritos (or any chips for that matter) and I have no problem with this. OP is exceedingly sensationalist and fearmongering with his "IT WILL TOTALLY UNBALANCE THE GAME" nonsense.
well actually he did write this

It’s not that this XP is SO valuable where this is the end of the world, but it’s definitely a slippery slope, one we seem to be sliding down at a record pace. Above all, I think it says that Activision is getting complacent, and is willing to see how far they can push their fans before they rebel and abandon the franchise which is largely content with churning out almost identical products year after year, and now piling on bonus promotions to net them even more cash.
This is a bad path to walk down, and hopefully it ends up biting Activision to a degree where they actually course correct. That day may still be a long ways off, however.
so it's not exactly fearmongering

Oh well. I just really hate people picking on other people for their appearance or similar.
CoD fanboys are gonna line up at the Wal-Mart and scream "TAKE MY MONEY" anyway.
Find the golden can - Get a free map pack!
Maps for free? Can you believe that? Oh my.

There would be only one can and Kotick would be sure that he gets his hands on it.
heh pretty neat idea i'd have to say.
im not that into my mp games that i would buy a certain soda just for double xp but ye i gotta say this is a cool idea
Yeah, think what you want of Activision, but this is actually pretty genius.
Thanks Activision, but I prefer Coke
Pepsi in a video game?
They're just copying Railworks.

While i think it's dumb, the article is even more dumb.
The reasoning it's presenting is "Well these players will have all these guns and will always win!", completely disregarding that not everyone is getting this game release day and playing at the same time. This is like complaining if you go out and buy cod 4, then complain that just about everyone in the game is high level with all the guns.
Why not fruits and vegetables?
I think you know why.
My desk: several cans of coke, but not a single bag of carrots to be found
Replace desk with whatever the fuck console gamers lounge on, and there probably still won't be any bag of carrots
Well, guess I'm going to be SHOVELING in loads of XP. My bro drinks like so much Pepsi everyday, doesn't even play games. Good news for me.

see
this is a nice, satisfied video game player that also gets some benefits from buying/having a brother who buys a lot of pepsi.
Whats wrong with letting players get some additional stuff for buying their favourite/or whatever drink? It, of course, promotes both pepsi products and Modern Warfare 3 (thats how marketing works btw), but it also gives players something.
Whats wrong with this?
(spoilers- you can unlock stuff in game as well)
people getting mad over nothing
i'd probably be all over this if i had modern warfare 3 and the promotion was used on a drink that i normally bought

because more XP = more shit for skilled players to cause the game to be unbalanced.
this means pepsi chugging douchebags who play nothing but CoD gets all they need to basically become unstoppable.
Just one more reason why BF3 needs to curb stomp COD.
This is just ridiculous.
FOR THE LAST TIME
BATTLEFIELD 3 AND MODERN WARFARE 3 ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES THAT SHOULD NOT BE COMPARED. ONE IS ABOUT TACTICS, AND ONE IS ABOUT NOTHING BUT INFANTRY COMBAT WITH SOME OBJECTIVE GAMEPLAY. CAN WE ALL PLEASE STOP COMPARING THESE TWO GAMES NOW?

Same theme, but your right
But REMEMBER, this is a place where they would compare CoD to WoW or TF2
