Diet Pepsi actually tastes like something, as opposed to Diet Coke which tastes like fuckin' Thames water. Don't ask me why I'm drinking diet.
Why are you drinking diet? are you fat?
Who cares? Look's like Pepsi scored big here
Sell exclusive hats for TF2 on cans of Fanta
Battlefield 3 signs a deal with Coke, yay!
Suddenly Fanta becomes the top selling drink on the west
trading six-pack for 2 refined
Why are you drinking diet? are you fat?
I had some pretty heavy dental work done a little while back and diet is less harsh on the fillings.
FUCK THIS GAME!!!!! *goes off to cry and mumble about fallen heroes*
Meh, many free to play MMOs do something like this except you buy the XP bonus from the dev instead of Mountain Dew.
Great, let's make America's twelve year olds even more obese.
This idea is actually not bad at all. It's actually rather brilliant
Another reason why coke is superior.

I don't think it's necessarily unbalanced since they usually try to balance the starting weapons with the unlockable ones and the same goes for perks and so on. Besides, CoD is such an easy game. Any idiot can do decent at it since it's one of those games targeted at everyone and takes no skill to play so it's not a big difference.
I know but I still wanted to clear out things about that part, should anyone use that argument. Also I'm pretty sure cereals are healthier than soda [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
I don't think it's necessarily unbalanced since they usually try to balance the starting weapons with the unlockable ones and the same goes for perks and so on. I doubt all their custom weapons you get by paying for CoD Elite are no better than the original weapons, it would break the idea and they would make no profit out of it.
Call of Duty continues to live up to the standards it has set for itself :suicide:.
Seriously, complaining about balance in MW?

And how come no one bitched when DR Pepper did something like this with EA games?
Instead of rewarding you for buying certain sized soda products, it should count the sugar and saturated fat contents from consuming them. Achievment Unlocked: Heartburner: Ingest 50,000 grams of sugar from Pepsi products.
You don't get weapons from CoD elite. And how come no one bitched when DR Pepper did something like this with EA games?
I had no idea they did the same with EA Games and I would have bitched about it too. Plus, the problem isn't really that you can get bonuses by buying pepsi (as long as the bonuses aren't stupidly overpowered), it's more that Activision is already selling out in every single way possible and just keeps going on and on and on with the mindless marketing professional milking. [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
Achievment Unlocked: Heartburner: Ingest 50,000 grams of sugar from Pepsi products.
That's like 5 cans :v:
so your problem with Activision is that they're trying to make money off of a product through a promotional deal? that's retarded
Overreaction thread to the maximum.
Didn't EA do the same thing with the bad company 2 doctor pepper SPECACT promotion? Except the difference there was you flat out couldn't get the items through normal play. I kinda think that's scummier than what activision is pulling here, but I'm not getting modern warfare 3 anyways so this really doesn't affect me.
Sell exclusive hats for TF2 on cans of Fanta
"It's not expensive enough. Everyone will have that. I don't want it now"
You don't get weapons from CoD elite. And how come no one bitched when DR Pepper did something like this with EA games?
Because the Dr Pepper + EA stuff was only cosmetic stuff for games, it gave no advantage over other players.
You can step over the line in cross-promotion? This is good advertisement for both of them, so who cares? Though I'm not really fond of either of them. COD francies got shit after COD 2 imo, but that's just my opinion. I only buy sodas that originate from Sweden, they're much more tastier :downs:
This is a disgrace! They're actually making them leave their house!Do they know about the dangers of the outside?
This is a disgrace! They're actually making them leave their house!Do they know about the dangers of the outside?
Eleven year old children know the danger, they go to school after all :v:
as if they hadn't "sold out" already? It's just some early XP, no exclusive advantages or anything. It's more fun when it takes longer to unlock stuff anyway, it's no fun if you get it all in like 4 minutes.
so your problem with Activision is that they're trying to make money off of a product through a promotional deal? that's retarded
There's marketing and there's selling out This game has ads everywhere, they're dealing with pepsi for some reasons, it has CoD elite, recently there was CoD XP, and the game will very likely be filled with $15 map packs made of previous games maps. Too much is too much.
