More discreet? No way. It's easier to secretly buy toys at a store than to get a box in the mail that someone might open or be otherwise curious about.
Opening mail that doesn't belong to you is a felony. Idk who opens your mail, but they're breaking the law. Unless they're your parent or legal guardian.
Been to Kalamazoo to visit family friends. Can confirm batshit crazies
I don't fully understand the need for pornshops. Like, they made sense twenty years ago, when the internet was still crawling out of the soup, but now? Surely they can't turn enough of a profit to make it a worthwhile investment when a nearly infinite supply of free porn exists a google search away, and when online sales of sex toys are cheaper, more discrete, and generally provide a better customer experience.
I'd say going to the store is a much better customer experience, unless you already know exactly what you want to buy. The people who work at sex shops are generally very friendly and knowledgeable, they're happy to talk with you about what the best product for you would be and help out however they can. You don't really get that with an online store.

Like losing the all video stores.

They just seem like a range of products that the average consumer isn't going to be totally comfortable with talking to somebody face-to-face about. Like, "excuse me, ma'am, but on the subject of dildos: which of these models would fit most snugly, and most pleasurably, into a smaller woman's willing asshole?" Or, "Sir, if you have a moment, could you describe the intensity of the self-induced orgasm that occurred as a result of your watching and pleasuring yourself to the following selection of pornographic movies?" Maybe it's just me, but I'd way rather read some reviews and check the ratings and click "order." I live with my girlfriend already, so I'm not concerned about somebody opening my mail that isn't going to be finding out what I got anyway, and it's not like the box it's shipped in has "FUCK TOYS" written on the side to make my landlady blush or my mailman giggle. Course, all that goes out the window if the shop is attached to a strip club, or even just nearby one. Dudes get out, all frustrated and worked up and whatnot, but woah-hey! There's a place to get exactly what he needs, and he doesn't care if it's overpriced! I'd kill to own that property. Money money.
BDA maybe you're comfortable buying your buttplugs from a faceless corporation hundreds of miles away but the rest of us like to rest easy knowing that the things we shove in our asses haven't contributed to the erosion of the middle class.
Been to Kalamazoo to visit family friends. Can confirm batshit crazies
It's not that bad, really. In fact, I'm more surprised he didn't burn down The Lion's Den, which I imagine gets more customers given that it's a chain sex shop.
Sex shops in a neighborhood can attract undesirable elements. [sp]Like arsonists, for instance.[/sp]

Everytime I see a classic smut shop it has an empty parking lot but the shops that focus on people in relationships always have people coming and going.
I was born here. I'm glad I left.
I think its a bit more fucked up that he said he was going to murder any employees and customers that were there

I've done this multiple times at kink places for gear, worth it imo.

Ideally, there'd be both options so everyone can get supplies for their sexy fun times however they want, but who knows, maybe physical stores won't be profitable in the near future.

The one we worked in would sell everything from kinky outfits to silicon equipments, so the convenience of getting an obscure porn when you where there anyways was convenient.
