That was established 7 hours ago, the question is for what. And I wouldn't call this bullshit, this was a brilliant publicity. Could have been perfect if they caught that shadow.
people would still know it's fake
people would still know it's fake
No shit!
If they just sold replicas of the movie board that would be pretty rad.
They did http://www.mattycollector.com/store/matty/en_US/pd/ThemeID.1298800/productID.247060500#.UxaMHPldXTo
i still remember watching tony hawk showing up randomly at times on tv 2000-2006 holy crap hes old now...
It doesn't matter if it was a perfect CGI or not. We just don't have that kind of technology. It's right there between the cure for cancer and space warp.

I'd pay well over $20,000 for this.
If technology like this really existed, the entire world would treat like revolution as it did with 3d printing and self driving cars. It could remodel almost every mode of transport that exists. Might not even need boats anymore if it works on water.
Hey Symwck you bojo! Those boards don't work on water!...
There's people on my facebook feed getting all hyped for this...
Didn't they make this because just like a few days ago was the day that they supposedly went to in back to the future 2?
nope, Marty returns on October 15th, 2015
Lol you can tell by the movement of the body that it is on some kind of suspension, probably a wire. They appear to be pivoting slightly around a point on the part of the back directly behind the head, which is probably where the wire is mounted.
You can see the crane they use in the upper right corner to hold up the people "riding the boards" at 1:05 Same one in this shot: [t]http://puu.sh/7jhBw.jpg[/t]
its viral marketing for new Tony Hawk game DLC
Hear me out it's been a long time since I saw the movies, but IIRC they were sort of hover scooters, then Marty took one and pulled the handlebars off. I got really skeptical as soon as I saw the hole at the front of the board where the handlebars were. Why include that other than being perfectly accurate to the film? If it was going to be a full on hover board you wouldn't include a hole in the front. Late on this part but oh shit Tony has changed a ton in 10 years
For a second I thought this was real, then I saw the video. Sad day.
you can see the dam cables behind them

You know what would be hilarious? If it was real all along, and they let the discussion fester for a bit because they left little clues that it was fake, and then they did some half-ass attempt to make it seem real a month later. Then, after everyone is all "you guys are dumb, stop please" they do a live tech demonstration a month after that. Now if only somebody else could develop a way to harness drama and convert it into energy, we'd be able to power the world for at least a year with that shitstorm.
None of you are a credible source so I went to one. I emailed Nine News about this and this was their response email.
When I was watching I thought they but put high power electro magnets under the tar. But that's just my own stupidity. [editline]5th March 2014[/editline] Also, for those of you who are disappointed, the real deal:
I just hope Nike releases Marty's High tops next year
But this lifts insignificant amounts of mass while using dangerously high currents, it's better to use superconductors in a rail or just the old hovercraft tech
Yeah but superconductors are limited, it would be like using an electromagnet in one specific area and it's cooler than old hovercraft technology. Not cool:
I just hope Nike releases Marty's High tops next year
They actually did make them back in 2011, but they were a limited run on a charity auction, so unless you had 20 grand to blow, you didn't have a chance [editline]5th March 2014[/editline] And they didn't even tie themselves
