Damn, you beat me to it.
Go to the company website huvrtech.com and you can see that it might just be real and for those of you out there said that you need magnets underneath the board at all times to work. UMMM last time I checked the earth is a magnetic field of its own. It is suppose to be released December of this year•

I believe it. guys do a little research into magnetic fields. I beleive this is legit and i plan on buying one of these.•

i am the first subscriber to HUVrTech•
Sorta the same technology they will use for hover crafts like alien ships anti gravity and magnetism but why would it not be possible??•

I saw it on Tony Hawks Facebook Page, I think its real•

No one controls your beliefs but YOU! & this shit looks real to me...time will tell!!•
Oh sick! My friend's band is in this video! They're called Zoo Brother, it's that chillwave-esque song.

one of my friends spent like fucking 4 grand on these when they came out.
I think that it might be possible within our lifetime for x-shaped hoverbikes to exist, where there are four fans surrounding the area where the rider stands. Something like this, but on a smaller scale using motorized, shielded propellers instead of just manpower:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syJq10EQkog
However, hoverboards themselves would be both too small and impractical to create, as they would be unsafely unstable and prone to flipping over. Unless there was an impluasibly huge counterweight on the underside with the fans (in access of 300 pounds), it would be very unstable and most likely knock the rider's head into the concrete the moment they start having any sort of horizontal momentum. Disc-shaped hoverpads might work though if designed well.

As much as I love BTF, the asking price was retarded, I would love to see a commerical one I can actually afford.
i want to believe
Why would they make this video if it's not real ??? I'm angry!

I'm curious as to what ARG this is the start of.

Half Life 3.
Gordan goes back to the future in this up and coming revival story; full of faith, redemption, and human understanding.
This is actually pretty neat and has more light to it than one might expect.
If you travel to their site advertised; HuvrTech and take a peak around, they're actually taking a serious swing at producing the Hover board from B2tF. MITs best in electricty, magnets, fields, and everything in between (electromagnetism!) they're shooting by the end of this year to have a starting grasp on the technology.
Would be fucking sweet if they make a prototype by the date in the movie;

Their website is shooting for December of 2014 though?
Tony Hawk already confirmed this is fake, lol.
Tony Hawk already confirmed this is fake, lol.
Because we needed Tony Hawk to confirm the obvious.
Guess what i hope this doesn't lead back two: future remake.
If nobody's seen it yet, Funny Or Die apologizes for the hoax.
It's aerodynamically impossible to create a reliable hoverboard platform, let alone one which can support the weight of a full-grown person, or even a child.
If this somehow did manage to exist, do you honestly think the US Military wouldn't of been all over this shit by now?
why would you put any thought into disproving something that everyone knows is fake?

it's like that guy who got upset about the DVD rewinder
I'm such an idiot for thinking that this was real

If technology like this really existed, the entire world would treat like revolution as it did with 3d printing and self driving cars. It could remodel almost every mode of transport that exists. Might not even need boats anymore if it works on water.
They probably wouldn't announce this technology with hoverboards referencing a movie series, although that's a good way to spread the word.
Hoverboards don't work on water.
