Wikileaks: Swiss bank freezes Julian Assange's account

After I found out what they (WikiLeaks) leaked in the last leak, as in, super important places for the US and not only, I understood what kind of an idiot this Assange is. He just fucking told every fucking terrorist around the world primary targets to hit, how can you people think he's cool or something?
He's like Che Guevara in a way. "Revolutionary", "Freedom fighter", my ass. Just another idiot that only wants to fuck up everything.
Would be best put down IMO.
That dude is not going to have an easy life.

Assange is just the messenger.
He's going to have to just hand over the encryption key soon, governments are seriously starting to put the squeeze on him.

Anyone competent enough to carry out an attack on those places would already know about them and have a ton more info. The only kinds of attacks this will help are the guys who get arrested trying to get a Ruger mini-14 through an airport.
I'm hoping Assange got some secret move up his sleeve.
Already a thread about it:

And as I said there already:
:siren:Swiss post is trying to talk to Assagne in order to transfer his money to another account:siren:
I only have a swiss source for that though :saddowns:

You assume. Your entire knowledge of the intelligence field is from movies and books, as I'm assuming you've never worked for the CIA or your countries equivalent.
The list of facilities is interesting, but a pretty damn far cry from 'whistle-blowing'.

My point is it's actually near useless to terrorists, there's almost no info on the layout or security at any of the facilities.
Julian must think his life feels like shit right now.
I kinda feel bad for him

But it is also a massive list of sites. While a Nuclear power plant in the US may be an obvious target, a cobalt mine in The Congo is not. Nor is an oil pipeline in the middle of Eurasia, unless you already know details about oil distribution.

You know, all this makes a famous quote come to mine.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
- Benjamin Franklin

Assange is one of the most collected people in the media today, if you think shit like this fazes him you're wrong.

What liberties exactly are being given up?

Uh. Your right to freedom of information?
Uh. Your right to freedom of information?
I can still read Wikileaks.
I can still read Wikileaks.
Just saying, all the people saying that Julian has gone too far and should be arrested or even assassinated are pretty much the people who the quote is aimed at.
If they froze the Swiss bank account of everyone suspected of criminal activity, they wouldn't have any clients.

Which amendment is that?
haha owned
But then, I think he could find people that are sympathetic with Wikileaks so maybe he could sleep on their couch
I would let him
Which amendment is that?
Unless there is a law specifically stating there is no right to freedom of information then it is the ninth

People have the right to information, but the government has no obligation to tell people everything they want to know.

Umm ok
Thanks captain obvious
What the fuck Switzerland, I thought you were cool. I guess I was mistaken.
:smith:
Ok, who the fuck is doing a Dos attack on postfinance (where Assagne had his account).? Can't reach it since yesterday.
If I owned any land, I'd claim it as my own country and grant Julian asylum.
There are a lot things besides land that makes a country.

We had no right to freedom of information.
We had no right to freedom of information.
It's a human right, as far as I know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_information

It's kind of funny that whenever some government is revealed to be withholding information or spying on its citizens, Facepunch screams "1984". Yet when an organization like Wikileaks actually gives them the information they deserve to know, Facepunch sticks their head in the sand and wants it to all go away.
