It's funny because he came from the right family, went to the right school and considers himself an elite.
Well it is, people should be allowed to decide who will lead over them.
Which sounds fine until you elect Vermin Supreme, and then you realize people are fucking stupid.
That's an awkward kiss. Plus a Joe Dirt look-a-like doesn't help the PDA [sp]gays ftw[/sp]
This further makes me believe adults are no more than grown children.
But then why would citizens be any more capable of choosing Representatives than they would Senators or the President?
They aren't, but the entire system is designed to mitigate the damage caused by this and utilize the strengths of directly elected officials to decrease corruption. First up you have the fact that representatives represent a relatively small area. They each represent a set number of people in a defined district. The people are expect to vote for this person based on what that specific district needs. That representative is supposed to be your only direct voice in the management of the federal government, which in turn would make their elections significantly more important to people and thereby increase the turnover rate. As it stands representatives have a pretty minor turnover rate and a nasty rate of corruption I'd wager that wouldn't be present with more eyes on their actions. Meanwhile the reduced need to pay attention to the federal senate or presidency would also increase the scrutiny that state representatives receive (who in turn generally determine the state senators as well) these representatives then use their understanding of state level politics and elect a senator that represents the needs of the state as a whole. So you then get the senate as a counter balance to the house. The Senate is a place filled with professional politicians that have been ELECTED BY PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS. Which sounds like a problem, except state level politicians generally don't ultimately wield sufficient power to be terribly corrupt. So you have a group of people who understand politics who are electing people to operate in the best interests of their state at a federal level. This Senate then in turn acts to counterbalance the morons that undoubtedly get elected by citizens directly in the House and the House serves to mitigate any designs of tyranny by the Senate. It was a fucking amazing design. You can actually keep going with this, it was fundamental to the blueprint of the United States and how the congress/presidential relationship functioned. Then we fucked it up at the turn of the 20th century by removing it. Now you have the House and the Senate performing effectively the same task and doing a piss poor job of it.
Criminalize Gay Sex? Thats okay gays were getting too mainstream since we abolished those sodomy laws. Now I can finally be edgy by choosing to be gay. [/SARCASM]
I don't get it, are the crowd supporting or opposing them?
Exactly... They didn't really sound angry... just chanting USA! USA! Hopefully more were supporters than homophobes.
I don't get it, are the crowd supporting or opposing them?
I was thinking chanting USA would be supporting them, since you know, you are supposed to have the freedom to express yourself in the USA.
Exactly... They didn't really sound angry... just chanting USA! USA! Hopefully more were supporters than homophobes.
Santorum has said that he is fine with gay people, but he just doesn't support their right to marry. If his supporters share the same view, then I don't see why they would be angry at the men.
YOU ESS HEY YOU ESS HEY
I thought they were saying "YOU IS GAY"
not really sure what the point of that was but ok i guess is it gonna make santorum stop hating gays or something
No, people just really like annoying Santorum.
Guy on the left looks like Dave Grohl.
ya, and homos shouldn't be allowed to vote in this democracy either! you realize how stupid it sounds now right?
You realize how stupid the people are, right?
Nothing more beautiful than two men kissing.
3 men kissing
I don't understand how anyone could be against obamacare
It was just some simple stuff really, the only thing that can be considered bad is the mandate which was a compromise to insurance companies. Neither democrats nor republicans wanted it. [editline]20th March 2012[/editline]
I don't support Obama nor Santorum but I don't see what's wrong about this
It's bad because that's what causes the income gap. Problem with Ricky's argument is that, well, that's by and large the republican party's fault, not Obama's [editline]20th March 2012[/editline]

COKE DRINKING

American's love Coke [editline]20th March 2012[/editline]
Which has clearly proven to be a terrible plan. We need a test that determines if you have sufficient knowledge of politics to vote. It shouldn't be difficult, just hard enough that majority of people will fail if they don't study for a bit beforehand. There needs to be a minimum entry requirement. We are a Republic and not a Democracy BECAUSE people are fucking morons. We need to accept this and then figure out how to work with it instead of blindly pursuing completely open voting. Open voting has proven time and time again to be a terrible plan.
we had that it was used for racism corruption will always be present in that system
The way they chanted USA just reminded me of kids sticking their fingers in their ears and going "LALALALALALA"
I got more of this kind of a feel.
i think they were chanting usa as some sort of spell to cast the gay away
Is it just me or does that flag look wrong? The Blue doesnt look right to me. Fucking Republicans.
This is the best thing I've seen regarding politics in a long time. Rick Santorum is the one person on this Earth that I fucking despise. He's simply the embodiment of 'Murrika and stereotypical homophobic douchebag that uses the ignorance of the general voting public to his advantage.

A single test universally issued with life in prison being the punishment for intentionally fucking with it. Currently we still have issues with robocalls coming from parties that inform members of the OPPOSING party of their voting locations. The catch is, of course, that they are the wrong locations. Also a favorite is giving the wrong date or time. People are going to fuck with the system. How do you make that more difficult? OH RIGHT THROUGH UNDERSTANDING THE SYSTEM. One of the benefits of holding a national test on your democratic system.

Why would you kiss your boyfriend at a Rick Santorum speech, you're doing nothing more than getting people to hate you
Why would you kiss your boyfriend at a Rick Santorum speech, you're doing nothing more than getting people to hate you
I have to agree, it's kind of obnoxious and won't change the mind of Rick and his supporters anyway.
I have to agree, it's kind of obnoxious and won't change the mind of Rick and his supporters anyway.
If anything, it just gives Glenn Beck the opportunity to talk about how a "GAY AGENDA IS BEING FORCED DOWN THE THROATS OF DECENT AMERICANS WITH GOOD CHRISTIAN VALUES". But it's still funny to watch them squirm.
