Revolutionary discovery means world may not run out of crud

Combustion engines need a better alternative, get rid of crude.
Worst discovery since the Americas, we need to swap over to alcohol run cars.
So now we don't have to invade tiny oil rich arab nations to fuel our economy?
2050: This just in, we've ran out of water, calcium carbonate, iron and obviously oil! :v:
what is vacuum energy anyway?
if you could apply the same principle as a solar panel(a thin wafer to capture the particles) it would provide infinite energy.
You can get enough energy from the sun to power the whole world anyway. It just costs a fuckload initially but after those initial costs are over with you've got a virtually limitless power supply. (until the sun dies)

Airborne wind turbines are where the money's at baby. Seriously, there's enough wind energy in the Midwest that if you plant a few thousand of these there you'll light the entire forty-eight.
Those are cool, until a tornado comes through and you have thousands of these things slamming into buildings.
Come to think, they're still pretty damn cool.

Bad weather means you take them down.
That is utterly pathetic.
Nuclear power is the most feasible way forward currently.
I don't think we are in very much danger of running out of iron considering our planet is practically a big ball of it.

Unless you automate it somehow.
Gordon Brown is facepalming over building all those useless Wind Turbines.
Unless you automate it somehow.
Using energy.
So you're using energy to put away energy generating things because it's windy.
Sure with enough of them you might be able to power a sizable portion of a country, but what happens when it gets a bit gusty.
Awesome, now we don't have to progress technologically :D

Have solar panels on the ground designed to store energy exclusively for the retracting system, since you won't really be able to use the land below these turbines anyway.
I hope this is true becuase then we can drive nice cars without feeling guilty.
Think of the trees man!

But you would still be making POLLUTION.

Why does that man have no crotch bulge?
It's not renewable because calcium carbonate and iron do not magically drop back out of the sky. Eventually all of it on the land would be used.
Solar energy technically isn't renewable either.
Point is it's way more fucking sustainable than waiting for all the shit we kill in wars to turn into oil.
I still think we should use hydrogen power; it is a lot cleaner.
Why does that man have no crotch bulge?
Why were you looking?
Well were fucked
Alright, now we won't lose the throaty roar of a big ass engine.
Quiet cars are gay.
Hydrogen. Cold fusion research. Alternative energy sources aren't limited to solar panels and wind turbines, I don't know why people think this.
Geothermal energy > everything else.

If it worked for Jurassic Park...

So buy a CD with car sounds on it.
Awesome, now we don't have to progress technologically :D
Fuck technology, it makes me depressed.

Solar energy is the way to go but we need to create way more efficient solar panels
According to what I remember from the science channel, solar panels are only 15% efficient
I don't think we are in very much danger of running out of iron considering our planet is practically a big ball of it.
Yeah, I have an uncle that goes into the core of the planet every morning and grabs a few tonnes of iron too.
We were never in an oil shortage.
What the shit, according to the Article the Germans knew about this back in the 20's?
