It's actually illegal to not do anything
that's pretty much what i meant

It's actually illegal to not do anything
yeah it's called the good samaritan law but it doesn't apply everywhere, it depends on what country you live in.
It's actually illegal to not do anything
why should it be illegal to let someone die when they clearly want to

According to wikipedia it is only illegal not to help in Vermont and Minnesota.
In most areas good samaritan laws provide legal protection to someone trying to provide aid. For example if you pull someone out of a burning car and save there life but they are paralyzed as a result of you moving them you can't be sued.
why should it be illegal to let someone die when they clearly want to
In most cases it should be legal in my opinion but for someone so young there is almost always a better option.
I've seen brick walls less dense than you.
what's with people who insult others rather than answering a simple question
what's with people who insult others rather than answering a simple question
I'll answer your question, it is because all her problems could be fixed. She was depressed and wasn't thinking rationally. She probably would have had a normal life if she had gotten the help she needed.
the question was why should it be illegal to walk past her dying body or photograph it
the question was why should it be illegal to walk past her dying body or photograph it
As far as I know it's not. It's just a dick thing to to rather then call 911.
why should it be illegal to let someone die when they clearly want to
I thought you meant this post.
Why do people kill themselves by jumping. There are plenty of ways to do it better than that.
i bet if most of you guys were there you wouldn't have done anything and don't say that you would have
I admit, I wouldn't do anything. Like, what could I do?
God forbid if I try to do something, she dies and then I get sued by her parents or something.
why should it be illegal to let someone die when they clearly want to
Jesus fucking Christ
What is wrong with you
"Hurr let's let someone take their life away when they clearly don't think it through and do tons of emotional damage to the friends and family who loved them"

I also support voluntary euthanasia, but only after a psychological consultation.
You're just the classic Facepunch nihilist.
I watched a documentary on stuff like this where people just walked past a old man that had just been run over and was bleeding on the pavement and the videoed him as well sick fuckers.
I watched a video where two guys recorded themselves killing a man. Brutally. It was taken down for obvious reasons but the images will never leave my mind. What they did to him, and watching him struggle to breathe and try to crawl away..I can't imagine what went through his head. His head was literally caved in from the brutal bashings, and his jaw hanging off the side. I couldn't watch more than a few seconds before I felt sick. Humans are the most dangerous beings on the planet, possibly even the universe. Simply because so many of us have no remorse.
I hope the people who bullied her get that picture and have to wake up to it everyday. Fucking stupid kids.
I was like: I agree with this man. But then I saw your avatar, and now I look like a bad person for laughing in this thread.
Still, I would want harsher punishment than that. Poor girl.

Two guys one hammer. Or was it three guys one hammer? I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it happened in Ukraine or something not too long back.
It wouldn't be a news thread without the angsty teen troll doriol.
Also JDK, I have some new found respect for you.
Reminds me of the girl who was smashed off her head on a park bench getting raped by passers-by and others just walking past and doing nothing. :sigh:
Regardless of any emotional "bullying" you've experienced, I don't understand why you would willingly committ suicide. It's difficult for me to have any sympathy for anyone who does. Think about all of her relatives..her friends...the people who read the article about her death; all of the grief that would be caused in the act of killing yourself. There's more to life than just social relationships. No matter your intellectual qualities, your weight, your appearance, or any other personal factors, you can find happiness. I have endured a lot of intimidation, even from my own, apparently, friends, and had to homeschool for two and a half years because of it. I've just completed my first week of my freshman year, and I've never been in a high school enviroment and interacted with a limited number of kids during my homeschooling, with the exception of the few times I had to go take a test.
Anyways, I suppose I'm getting a bit too off-topic. I really don't understand why people are astonished by the photographing of her corpse.

Depends on where we are.

Society is a whole is selfish, do you think journalists think about the emotional consequences of stories they run to the people featured in them?
I agree with Doriol, what is there to do for someone who's face planted onto the pavement?
uhhhhhhhhhh
yes we do
it's he REASON why we fucking publish them.
you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
Because 95% of people are assholes.
No.
I refuse to believe that that much of humanity would enjoy someone's suffering.
