At least release all of the Halo games from the 360. You can still make the games for the One exclusive for a little bit.

For me it was simply the designs and art, as well as the customizable player characters and customizable online. However after playing Halo 4, I can say that pretty much died. Drastic new artstyle, almost on par with anime, and plays more like CoD. However, what redeemed it for me is you can customize gamemodes to make it exactly like Halo 3 again. No armor powers, no nothing. As well as being way more customizable for characters.
If it is coming anytime , I'd expect it to be at least after HALO 5 launches and/or a year from the Xbox One release.
only in the videogame industry could it be said that the developer is 'listening to a community' while at the same time, utterly ignoring the points of the community.
Sounds like they just don't care about the PC crowd. They could be earning sooo much more money right now.
"Yes guys, we aren't deaf. We hear you, we know you exist. We just don't give a shit about you, that's all." [editline]21st June 2014[/editline] It's like how a kid would answer their parent. "Yes mom, I hear you. I'm just choosing to ignore you."
i remember when the general internet consensus was that halo was a bad game
It is. Go play tribes 2 if you want a better equivalent. Its basically did everything that halo did but better.
It is. Go play tribes 2 if you want a better equivalent. Its basically did everything that halo did but better.
Except they're not really both the same. Sure, both are arena shooters. One's at a slow pace, the other is 2fast2furious. Both have their ups, and downs. Before you go saying fanboy, I'm not. Sure, I may (now) own all the Halo games, but Unreal has my heart for arenas. Halo is just a nice change of pace now and then.
"the pc fans have spoken! yeah, nah, fuck off" 343 have been on a brilliant record of being absolutely shit since they took over, starting with ruining Xbox's biggest franchise with their first try

Same can't be said about the new animu artstyle and the retconning of every fucking thing that ever happened.
-totally forgot lol-
These fuckers haven't got a clue on how much money they could make if they put Destiny and Halo 3 on PC.
343 has nothing to do with Destiny.
These fuckers haven't got a clue on how much money they could make if they put Destiny and Halo 3 on PC.
You obviously haven't got a clue on how much money Halo 3 made for Microsoft, Bungie's then-publisher, through Xbox 360 console sales. Plus, 343 Studios isn't Bungie.
i remember when the general internet consensus was that halo was a bad game
Remember when that was idiots and people bandwagoning to fit in
Welp, guess I'll be getting that XIM4 afterall then.
only in the videogame industry could it be said that the developer is 'listening to a community' while at the same time, utterly ignoring the points of the community.
"we're listening. we just don't care."
I don't get why people shit over halo, the first three we're great games. First game undoubtably was the best though, solid combat for its time, good story but an absolutely amazing soundtrack and atmosphere. That's what made it so good. After 3 things kinda went down hill fast. The newer halo games are alright, just not great.
Larger game devs more and more are beginning to talk like fucking politicians "we're listening but no changes will be made" reminds me of drug policy bwahahaha yeah yeah yeah I don't care about Halo that much although would probably play it if it did come to PC to remind myself how terrible an IP it is
i remember when the general internet consensus was that halo was a bad game
Halo 4 is bad, everything else is good, I even liked Halo Wars
Halo 4 is bad, everything else is good, I even liked Halo Wars
I liked Halo 4, Wars was garbage. Just as bad as Spartan assault
I have to wonder How much would you guys pay only for a Halo 3 on PC? $20? $40? $60? Hell I'll set up a poll. Agree for 20, disagree for 40, and useful for 60
Considering the age of the game. No more than 10-15€
i remember when the general internet consensus was that halo was a bad game
I still hold to that, I just don't see the appeal of it. Stuff like this just pisses me off, they might say they're "listening" but until I see proof I'm not holding my breath.
343 have been on a brilliant record of being absolutely shit since they took over, starting with ruining Xbox's biggest franchise with their first try
By bringing the community's most favorited Halo game with an anniversary edition and it's original multiplayer. And also 3 other halos They're definitely listening to their community, they've even hired some pros from the community to help out on their game like Bravo and Neighbor (MLG Pros literally) And for them to be able to put a Halo game on steam is pretty crazy IMO considering how much it would be against how much Microsofts passion for exclusitivity (The guy they hired for Steam integration did a nice job with the trading cards and leaderboards, he might be our hope for any other halo on steam) I personally enjoy Halo 4 after the weapon tuning update they had, it feels fast paced like Call of Duty, but in the Halo universe (I like Call of duty despite the bandwagon hate)
You know what, fuck it. I'm done, I don't even want Halo on PC any more, I guess I'll just stay with the Russians on DotA.
We're listening to you by ignoring what our paying customers want. Good move.
You know what, fuck it. I'm done, I don't even want Halo on PC any more, I guess I'll just stay with the Russians on DotA.
A fate worse than death... but in all seriousness, we know why they won't do this. Halo is one of the most massive franchises on the planet and it's a major draw for the xbox.
It's Xbox One first, PC second. Slap Windows Phones and Kinect inbetween the Xbone and PC and viola. It makes sense profit-wise, because the Xbox One gets them money directly as does the licensing for games on the system and their first-party published titles (aka Halo), compared to a PC running Windows and otherwise there's not much else there to gain besides licensing for work-related software from them. That'd change if they were to put their first-party games on the PC, but they don't seem to care about taking the risks whatsoever and just stick to the Xboxes.
Viola?
Considering the age of the game. No more than 10-15€
When people say things like this I can't help but question how badly people want Halo on the PC. Say they finally did put Halo 3 on Steam and the port was glamorous and very well optimized. It's packaged with all the DLC's that had come out. The game costs 70$. Do you pay for it after waiting for so long or do you just wait for a sale and/or complain.
