I agree that the dota community mostly is shit but personally I have met some amazing people through the game. I never also play the game alone because I want to lower the risky of getting bad teammates. Having a good attitude and not being a negative and rude person in your games helps a lot and can help you find nice people to play with.
In my opinion, only DOTA, LoL and a very select few others are really the fun MOBAs, because they've been through months/years of testing by players and they were crafted without trying to cram in to an already-existing hype pool

EA's Dawngate is actually not that bad, it's got some slightly interesting mechanics going for it.
i don't know why folks complain about MOBAS being made, its what makes money, its capitalism, they gotta follow the money no?
also dota can be fun, it would be more fun if valve idea of matchmaking was not horribly broken, but it is fun generally.

I can't speak for league, I've never played it or seen much content for it, but dota 2 is very well made and all the gameplay mechanics are tight.

brazilians stick to SA server, since we get like 9-30ms latency, what you're talking about(i personally get 4-16 on average).

that doesn't count on dota, there is no reason for brazilians to play on NA server(unlike other games where people are forced to do so), i personally get 130-180ms on NA server , most of my friends get like 250-300+ why would anyone play on NA on a game where rapid reactions are highly important? having 20ms or 200ms is the difference between escaping a gank or getting owned.
also SA matchfinding generally finds matches in 1-2min tops(sometimes instant).
i'm not speaking for other nationalities though.

Well I guess if KoF can get a moba, anything can.
i've been playing a lot of smite recently. it's the only moba to catch my interest and keep me involved for longer than a day or two. LoL lost its appeal after day 1 and DoTA 2 is okay, but smite is actually pretty neat. i recommend checking it out to anyone, go look up some gameplay videos on youtube!
that being said, the recent moba trend is really rather pathetic and i'd like at the very least to see people putting time and effort into their clones to make them into something unique
