How dare they shoot back an innocent kid stabbing that policeman! They should of been gentlemen and let him stab em to death :v:
Because you shoot at the largest target, the centre of seen mass which is usually the torso to reduce the chances of you missing. Maybe they didn't have a Tazer on them. This is a pretty straight forward case, the kid rocked up to the police station with a knife with the intent to harm police. He managed to stab 2 before being shot dead. It's not like police shot him first then stabbed each other to frame him. The fact that muslim leaders didn't condemn his actions and instead questioned the police response further alienates the Islamic community.
Pretty sure he was joking.
I know you're trying to be funny. But you can't compare shooting a suspect AFTER he stabbed a police officer to discharging 2 magazines into an unarmed suspect isn't The action were justified. Or shooting an unarmed suspect in the back blast his head away with 80 bullets and still handcuff him Shooting a cosplayer Shooting an unarmed man in bed because the police raided the wrong house Pointing an assault rifle at unarmed people threatening to kill them all Shooting a suspect because he tried to kill himself Tazing an asmathic to death

he's right though [editline]25th September 2014[/editline] even accounting for population the frequency is massively out of whack between our countries
You realize that those are joke posts, right? It's actually poking fun at the US and not Australia. How stupid are you not to notice that?
What is with Australia and terrorism all the sudden Its like news of 9/11 just reached them or something
the g20 summit is coming up so they are on edge
You still haven't addressed "shooting a suspect because he was trying to kill himself" "Shooting an unarmed suspect in the back" "Shooting a cosplayer" "Tazing an asthmatic to death" "Shooting an unarmed man in bed" You telling me they were threatened then?
Okay, you have me on shooting a unarmed man in the back. Shooting a cos player that reportedly lunged and swung around with a sword. Yep they have legal right so shoot. Tazing an asthmatic to death? Cop's receive next to nothing on training with tazer's due to the unreliability and the little training you do receive with a tazer is that it's a non lethal weapon and should be used in a non lethal situation, also how would they know someone was asthmatic or had heart problems? Pro tip don't resist arrest with a cop, makes everyone's lives easier and if you just co-operate you won't get tazed. Shooting an unarmed man in bed? How the fuck are they going to know he was unarmed? X-ray vision? Shit I sleep with a Glock 19 under my pillow. Shooting a suspect trying to kill himself? Murder's illegal and is punished by death? Helping someone out? I mean seriously the dude was trying to kill himself if he was using a weapon to do it then the bullet would still pose a risk.
What is with Australia and terrorism all the sudden Its like news of 9/11 just reached them or something
It's the latest threat of the moment, just a few weeks ago bikies were the ones destroying our society, now it's terrorists. The fact that it comes right after the government trying to introduce some unpopular domestic spying laws (Which they don't even understand) is totally unrelated. Edit: Also yeah G20, they're cracking down hard on that, even banned eggs and charging people for putting stickers on things.
the g20 summit is coming up so they are on edge
I've heard some of the heightened police measures in Queensland won't be rescinded after G20 as the Police Comissioner has said.
